Daylight flooded into your room through your blinds. Opening your (e/c) eyes, you looked around the room. Something you did almost every day just to make sure that your whole life wasn't a dream and you weren't living back with your parents.
Sitting up you stretched arms and back. You didn't want to get up but there were things that needed doing. While you would have appreciated an hour or two extra work was work and even though your hours were flexible it didn't mean you could just laze about doing nothing.
Hopping out of your double bed you grabbed your phone, which was on nightstand, and headed into the kitchen to get some breakfast. The first stop was the fridge. No milk, looks like cereal isn't an option unless you wanted it dry. Thankfully you did have both bread and butter so you could have some toast with (preferred toast topping).
Sitting there munching on your meal you decided to check twitter, you loved interacting with your 'fans' though you never really like to call them that. You felt like it presented you as something more then you actually were. You had just replied to around three tweets when you noticed the icon in the top left hand corner of your screen. You had a message. It was now that the events of last night came back to you. Marks confession of love and you pretty much throwing it back in his face. Was he upset from your rejection or did he not quite get the hint?
Slowly you closed twitter and went into your messages. Thankfully, it wasn't from Mark. You sighed with relief as you had no idea what you were going to say to him. The message itself was from another one of your YouTube friends Jack.He said that he had recently played a game which reminded him of you and suggested that you play it. After reading the brief description he gave you had decided to put your game play of one night at Flumpty's on hold to try out this game.
Once you finished your breakfast, you put your plate in the sink to be washed up later. You hated leaving things for later but it saved money to wash up a lot of things at once then just washing everything as you go.
Jack was right about the game it was something you would like and you did indeed enjoy playing it. You had a few laughs while playing and even more while editing. When uploading the video you decided to title it 'the funniest video yet' because in your opinion it was. The hole recording and editing process took you roughly 3 hours, you eyes had begun to hurt from staring at the screen for so long. Deciding to take a break you left the video to upload to YouTube and went back into your kitchen. That's where you had left your phone and you planned to text Jack about how right he was.
Later on that day you were sat scrolling through the comments for your recently uploaded video. Of course you got the odd troll or people just being horrible but you ignored it, after all all the nice comments drowned them out. It was when you came across a particular comment that made you heart skip a beat. It wasn't uncommon for you and Mark to comment on each others videos but what he said made you feel overwhelmingly guilty.
"Looks like someone had a little too much fun," it read. To anyone else it would have seemed like a normal comment but to you it had a deeper meaning. This feeling suddenly began to loom over you like a dark cloud. You had another video to record if you were going to keep your schedule but you didn't know if you could feeling the way you did right now.
"Come on (Name) you can't let it get to you," You tried to convince yourself but to no avail. In the end you decided to use one of your prerecorded videos and lay in bed thinking about things. You liked to let your mind wander every now and then, it was your own way of relaxing.
A few days had passed and you hadn't heard anything from Mark. You figured he hatted you and just felt so guilty, after all he was the one who helped kick start your channel. You wanted to remain friends with him at least. Trying to forget all about it by browsing twitter once again. One particular tweet caught you eye. It was a piece of fan art featuring both you and Mark in a very romantic setting. This wasn't uncommon a lot of people seemed to ship the two of you together it was a lot like Markimash it a sense. There was a large fan war between Markimash fans and (ship name) fans. You would usually just laugh it off and move on, but this was different. Something about it just seemed odd. Then you remembered the video.
Quickly, you went to Marks channel. You hadn't been there in a while so there was a lot of new videos to look through and maybe watch. But now wasn't the time. You needed to find that video and sure enough there it was.
Clicking on in you were greeted by the usual 'hello everybody' by Mark and then the familiar voice of Yami. You had originally planed to only watch the fist minuet or so but you found yourself enjoying it. Almost like you were reliving the fun you had on that day. When it finally reached the end you had made your mind up. You had feelings for Mark just like he did for you.
Grabbing your phone, you took a screenshot of the tweet. You opened up your texts, found Marks contact, attached the image and added the little comment at the bottom which read "Looks like it's been made official ;P "
Reading it over an over, making sure that you didn't make any mistakes. But what you mistakes could you make in such a small text? Finally working up enough courage to press the send button you found your self eagerly awaiting his reply.
