He saw her. In the middle of the street. Her pure skin and beautiful (e/c) eyes that seemed to freeze him in place when she quickly glanced in his direction. Something about her told him that she wasn't just some drunken illusion. Was it the way she walked? Or was it the expression she wore on her face. She was bored, the woman she was with was in deep conversation with one of the shopkeepers. The girls eyes drifted from item to item within the shop, Grantaire took this as his chance to speak with her.

The small shop was a hatter shop with numerous 'beautifully' crafted hat that ranged in style and colour. The girl gently ran her finger across a feather almost as if she was checking its fragility. Seeming satisfied she placed the feathered hat on her head and began to check herself in one of the many mirrors. "While the hat may look elegant, it can only be matched by the one wearing it," he commented.

The girl quickly turned to face him, startled by his presence. A smile soon found its way onto her lips. "The design itself its grotesquely tacky I was merely trying it on for some fun so I'm not sure weather to take that as a complement or not," she spoke.

"While I don't disagree with your statement about that hat I would prefer if you took the way it was intended, as a complement," he advised. A light shade of pink dusted across her cheeks as she removed the hat and placed it back upon its display.

"Are you always so optimistic?" She asked.

It was strange. Usually he was the exact opposite, skeptical of everything but for some reason being around this girl it made him want to see the positives. "Not at all but perhaps your beauty brings it out of me?"

Smirk placed upon her lips the girl selected another hat. This time it was bright red colour decorated with numerous pieces of fruit, painting whoever would wear as a narcissist making fun of those who could not afford to eat. "Then what do you think of this one?" She asked posing with it elegantly placed on her (H/c) hair.

"It brings out the colour in your lips."

After placing the hat back in rightful place she picked up a dull green hat with a large pink flower. "And this one?" She asked.

"It frames your face"

"Do you have an answer for everything?" She asked no entirely expecting him to answer and before he even could she picked up another hat giggling slightly. "Nevertheless its not pair that I'm the only one wearing the hats." Standing on her tiptoes she placed the pink flowery hat onto Grantaires head. He held is breath worried about how close she was to him and that she might smell the alcohol he had drunk. However, she didn't seem to notice or at least chose not to. "There beautiful!"Grantaire quickly took his opportunity and decided to strike a pose which caused the girl to laugh a little too loudly.

"(Name)! That is no way for a lady to act!" The woman talking to the shopkeeper scolded. Dropping her head she apologized and turned back to the interesting stranger with the intent on speaking, however, she was quickly interrupted. "(Name), come along now. We have other places we need to go," The woman practically commanded.

Nodding the girl placed the hat back with a sad expression pasted onto her face. "(Name) huh? What a fitting name for a charming young lady such as yourself."

Blushing slightly (Name) looked him directly in the eyes, a smile finding its way back onto her lips. "Well it appears you know my name so how about telling me yours?" she asked.

"Only if you promise me I'll see you again," Grantaire bargained.

"Perhaps," she said with a playful smile.

The contagious smile found it's way onto his lips and spoke with a slight chuckle, "My name is Grantire."

"Grantire," (Name) repeated.

"(Name)! Lets go!" the older woman commanded standing at the door impatiently tapping her foot. After giving a slight curtsy (Name) said her goodbyes and quickly went to the ladies side and making her exit but not before giving him one last smile.

After about a minute or so Grantaire managed to pull himself together and exited the shop. "So this is where you've been hiding," a familiar voice spoke. He turned and saw Enjolras making his way towards him. "Let's get going the others are already waitin"
