Chapter six: The present Raven will never forget

Winter was approaching, and it was ready to be Raven's birthday. But Jake was clueless on what to get her. Still, he knew her well. So he thought of calling one of his friends to see if he could get in touch with someone who has hidden information.

Shortly, Jake managed to find Raven's old best friend in her school. Her name was Evey. 15 years of age. Evey had red hair, green eyes, and white skin. Coupled with the fact that she was shorter than Raven, Evey was a sight to behold. Raven would always say her best friend was dry.

The witch hunter was the first to hear the doorbell ring and opened the door. "Thank you for coming over to help me with this. You are her best friend."

At the same time, Raven was getting her hair done by a specialist for her night out with Jake. To recreate his best friend's new look, she transformed her hair into purple with blue highlights. "Jake won't know what hit him," Raven said, smiling.

While shopping together with Eve, Jake decided to get a ring for Raven. "It is perfect; she will definitely say yes. Now I have to make sure tonight goes off without a hitch," he said, smiling.

In the evening, Raven expressed his anger by stating, 'Why is he late? Is this not our special evening? We have been together for six years today, and he is nowhere to be seen.'

Suddenly, Raven was jolted from her thoughts when her and Jake's song started playing. 'Is it just me, or is our song playing? That's odd,' Raven said, attempting to make sense of the situation.

Raven smiled as her eyes caught a glimpse of them playing on TV in the company's office. Suddenly, a video she was watching was interrupted by someone approaching her. Raven gushed as she began to see posters of every picture of her and Jake together on their dates. 

As tears threatened to pour down, she realized that it was Jake. "Raven Elizabeth Jones, I know I haven't made the best boyfriend, but one thing I am certain of is that I am in love with you. From the day I met you, I have loved you. So, Raven Elizabeth Jones, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" Jake said while kneeling on one knee.

Raven said yes while her eyes filled up with tears.
