Katy's POV~The sun has finally set after a long day of cakes and sweets. I stayed behind to close shop so that Hikari and Ivvy could go home. No way in hell IM going to let them know what I'm doing. Turning the key and locking the back entrance to shop, I turn to walk to my car. Inside my car and starting the ignition, I pull out of the shops parking lot and into the alley. On Teaberry Square, I drive around to a small side street leading to Paradise Drive.
Stoping at the stop sign, I look to my right, toward the direction of Teaberry Hotel. Constantly thinking if I should go home or to see Akito. As the last car passes, I quickly turn on my blinker to the right and turn down Tweedle Street. Driving a little further down, I notice the neighborhood isn't exactly upper class. I drive on until I reach the Hotel. Pulling into the drive of the hotel, I park behind the building.
Walking around to the front door, I walk inside to see a young woman wearing way too much make up. "Are you getting a room?" She asks in a seductive tone. I shudder at the sound of her voice and the way she spoke to me. "N-No, I am looking for Akito in room 2." I said as I stand near the desk with iron bars protecting the woman. "Go on up, it's the first door as you reach the top of the stairs." She replies as she flipped through a catalogue. I slowly walk upstairs as I pass a man who is undoubtedly drunk. He leans on me and then stumbles down stairs.
As I reach the top step, I am terrified as to what will happen. 'Why did I come here? Why is my curiosity getting the better of me? I know I should go home where I am safe, but something about him is consuming me.' I thought as I reach to knock on the door. After the first few knocks, I was told to come inside. Opening the door, I walk into the room as I push the door closed behind me. The room is dimly lit with only the neon light from the sign outside to light the room. I look over the room and take in my surroundings as I walk further into the room. I could hear a shower running in the next room. A briefcase on the table is open with photos of Ivvy inside. 'Why does he have pictures of Ivvy?' I ought as I reach for one of the photos.
"Well hello, doll" as I reached for the photos, his voice in my ear made me jump as I turn to face him. His hair partially wet from the shower, a towel around his neck, and smile on his face. "I-I.....I-I" I stutter as I am frozen in place. I feel the table press into my legs as I am being pushed back. His body close to mine, he leans closer to me. "I see you were caught looking at things you shouldn't be." He says as his gaze cuts to the briefcase behind me. 'What have I gotten myself into?'
~
Finally home and relaxed I turn on my iPod to listen to some music. "They send me away to find them a fortune, a chest filled with diamonds and gold." Halsey's Control fills the speakers that play throughout my house. I pull a cigarette from my pack and a lighter from the table as I light my cigarette and inhale the smoke. "The house was awake, the shadows and monsters. The hallways, they echoed and groaned." Before I could walk back into the living room I heard a knock at my door. Exhaling the smoke I put the cigarette on the ashtray and open the door. "I sat alone, in bed till the morning. I'm crying 'They're coming for me'"
As I open the door, Hikari is standing on the front walk. "Can I come in?" He asks as I hold the door open. I nod as I let him inside and turn to close the door. "What's wrong?" I ask as I pick up my cigarette and take in a puff of smoke. "I just thought I would come over to visit you. We've been so busy with Festival preparations that we haven't had time to hang out." He replies as he sat down on the couch. "Do you want anything to drink...er?" I ask as I sit across from him on the couch. "No, I'm good." He replies. "I'm bigger than my body, I'm colder than this home, I'm meaner than my demons, I'm bigger than these bones."
