"but auntie why do i have to go live with cousin Nick in portland!" I whined.
"Now dear you must listen its not safe for you here anymore. The reapers already killed your uncle and will soon be coming for me."
"Reapers what are you talking about?"
"You will learn soon. Now take the trunk from the hall closet. here is the key and don't open it untill your safely at Nicks. understand?"
"yes auntie. "
"good now take your go bag and the trunk and get into the car. A friend of mine is driving and will safely take you to Portland.Now hurry"
I grab my bag and wheel the very heavy trunk outside and put everything into the back. I take a deep breath and get into the car. I say a silent goodbye and never look back.
I knew that I would never see her again. I promised myself to stay strong no matter what and don't let anyone see your weakness. I need to be strong.
