"Wing Din Gaster. We cannot accept your betrothal to her.

"Her name is Calibri!" Gaster shouted at the King, Queen, and Prince. Tesla watched on edge, holding Calibri back.

"King Amago, why can't I marry the love of my life? Why can't she stay here, on the palace grounds?"

"Wing Din. She is a Criminal! We have a reputation among this kingdom and I wish to maintain it that way!"

"What reputation do you have that hasn't been destroyed by the war!" Calibri Shouted from behind Gaster.

"Calibri! Stay out of this, I don't want you to get hurt!"

"I CAN FEND FOR MYSELF, GASTER!" She yelled.

"Sire if you wish, I'll leave! I don't want to stay in a place where I am called a criminal!"

"River... No. Please, I'll make him accept you, I-"

"Gaster. Stop. It's not gonna work. He won't accept us."

"Cali-"

"Gaster."

She walked up and rested her head against his. "I love you... But they don't love me. It'll be okay, dear."

She left the palace soon after, leaving Gaster to his work, and solitude.

Until the day he arrived.

Months later:

A small cry filled the air of the cavern in which the river ran through. A skeleton woman held a smaller version of her kind in her arms, trying to soothe the infant. She moved the boat along, holding the baby, who started to become calm. She stopped and continued to walk until she reached the palace... Where she snuck around to the doorstep of the one who fathered this child.

She set him down, kissed his head, and left the note she had scribbled with a shaky hand before she came here.

"I'll always love you, Sans."

And with that she fled into the night, leaving her son with his father.
