The Scientist (The Story Of Gaster)

Light

(Gaster is around 12 years old at the moment)

A blur of white zoomed past a patch of echo flowers, which started mimicking the whoosh and the shriek of someone.

Gaster sat on the back of the lead Gaster Blaster as they zoomed through Waterfall.

The Blaster let out an excited click and the others clicked in return, and they all headed back towards the cave where they lived. Gaster hopped off of the back of the Alpha.

He started to sign to them, a method of communication the Blasters seemed to understand.

"Lux, I must go now... the king and will be looking for me..."

Lux gave an understanding purr, and signaled to the other blasters in the pack to settle in the cave.

He then let Gaster go on, so he could find the royal guards sent for him.

"There you are, Wing Din. The King and Queen have been searching for you. You have worried them."

"I know... I should have stayed here..."

Gaster looked up at the head of the royal guard, Tesla. She was a kind woman, with a strong heart, and a lot of bravery. She was a mentor to Asgore, who was starting to learn how to wield a trident.

"Come along, we must get you home..."

Then Gaster heard a small clicking noise. He turned to see a young blaster... Lux and his mate's young... Who was named Light. He hurried over as Tesla talked to the guards, and tried to shoo him away, back to the cave.

Light didn't listen and nuzzled Gaster.

"Go on! Go back!" Gaster signed.

Light clicked a few times and gave a small chirp.

Suddenly, a glowing dagger landed near Light.

Tesla threw her daggers at the creature, not knowing what it was or if it was harmful. She watched as Gaster jumped in front of it.
Then a low growl came from behind Gaster and Light.

Lux and 4 other Blasters hovered near Gaster, as Light's mother pushed him back to safety. They were prepared to attack, and Tesla prepared herself for her fate.

But nothing happened. Gaster stood in front of her, and signed to the Blasters to stop. He was terrified, standing up to the creatures who accepted him was horrifying. Lux growled and went directly in front of Gaster.

Lux emitted an apologetic purr, and bowed. He then gave a retreat call and the pack went back to the cave.

"Wing Din, what was that?!"

"They are called Gaster Blasters. They are like my family, Royal Guard Tesla." Gaster said.

"How did you find them?" She asked.
Gaster explained how he met the blasters and told of the small adventures they had over the past 3 years.

"Incredible. And they accepted you into their pack? Their family?"

Gaster gave a nod.

"And what do you call them? Gaster Blasters?"

Gaster gave a sheepish grin, knowing how self centered his name seemed, as he nodded again.

"How impressive..."

Tesla thought some more. They seemed powerful, could be commanded... Maybe they could be of use...

Gaster grabbed Tesla's hand and they, along with two other guards, headed towards home.

Later that night, Gaster and Asgore were talking and heard clicking noises outside.

Light had followed Gaster home, and was hovering outside the window. Asgore was going to get the king, but upon seeing how gentle the blaster was, kept this creature a secret for the night.

Light slept on the end of Gaster's bed, like a dog would, and gently purred in his sleep.

Little did the two know, they would create a bond different from the one Gaster had with the other blasters.

(A/N: Sorry I took so long! I've been bombarded by homework,a couple of performances, and a very bad sinus infection. But I should be writing again soon! I hope you guys liked my chapter, no matter how terrible, and as a bit of an I'm sorry gift, here's what's coming up: the next chapter will introduce a new character... Who isn't focused on like most characters...
