: Chapter Two :

2 weeks later

Murmurs and hushed whispers fill the mass hall, families becoming distressed by the absence of their Alpha. The poor soul hasn't left his office for weeks, drowning himself in alcohol and work only leaving in the middle of the night when he thinks everyone is asleep.

But I hear him, his loud drunken steps tripping past my door as he makes his way to the medical wing. Most likely to the bedroom right next to the infirmary that is decorated with flower and cards for our Luna, he would probably stumble into the room loudly and plonk himself on the chair next to her bed. Play with her hair and become just sober enough to whisper about how much he misses her, and how much he needs her to wake up.

I know this because that is exactly what I would be doing right now if I was in his position, except for the drinking part obviously.

"Alright everyone please calm down." I hear a faint voice, which is effectively drowned out by the voices of the Blood Moon werewolves. Times like this, you know you need an Alpha not his Beta.

"SHUT UP!" Cindy screams, ending all conversations and rumors about the Alpha's condition. This is exactly how Allison, our Luna would get the pack to listen to her.

"Now I don't know about you, but in this pack we are respectful. We fight and work as one, and we are strong. Yes, I realise that our Luna is unconscious and Alpha unavailable but for now Jake is your Alpha in command and I suggest you listen to what he has to say the first time he calls for your attention." Everyone bows their head in submission, before baring their necks at her.

She is technically our leader, but chose to give up her Alpha share and focus on her role as the assassin. The Alpha genes run strongly through her veins, and when she wants attention, you can almost feel the power radiating out of her, demanding it.

I have learned this recently, just after Allison took me into the pack. Cindy and had a heart to heart when she found about her brother locking me up for something that was completely out of my control. My mother had cast a spell, hoping to get rid of me.

That all ended too quickly, the battle too fast. I know there is more to come, it wasn't a simple snap of her neck to finish the job.

But I never found time to question the Alpha.

When I ushered the doctor away was when I planned to tell him my thoughts, but it had seemed that I had walked into an argument. I felt awkward as they stood and fought about me, especially in the presence of Allison while she is in a coma.

"Thank you Alpha Cindy." Jake announces.

"It is not Alpha anymore Beta, if we are using correct terms then you actually have a higher rank than me." She informs him, he nods slightly before turning back to the pack.

"Recently this pack has had a great loss, followed by a happiness. Although the rebirth of our Luna did not have the effect we would have liked, we must learn to deal with it. Our Alpha is dealing with his own issues right now, and I think it would be best to leave him to fight them by himself. We have faced great suffering, and the house always feels like the air is heavy now a days. That is why, we have organised a barbecue tonight!" Cheers erupt throughout the mass hall.

I find myself smiling, over the few short weeks that I have been here nothing good has happened to this pack. I think that it is a great idea, they deserve a night off. To relax and spend time with each other.

I notice Cindy's expression darken as she talks with Jake and Mal, she grabs their arms and pulls them out of the room angrily.

I feel compelled to chase after them and figure out what happened, but I know this time, that it is not my place to do so.

If I am to be apart of this pack, I can't partner myself up with all the high rankings. I am an omega here, and even if Allison was awake I need to remember my place.

I can no longer participate in pack decisions, for I am an Alpha's daughter no longer.

A/N

Woah plot twist!

These first few chapters is to give an insight on the character's attributes and how they react to different situations.

So this will go on for probably another...

Hold on...

1, *closes eyes* 2, 3, 4,

OH GOSH I NEED TO REMEMBER THE PARENTS!

Remind me about the parents, they need to be added to this story.

I have recently noticed that every single one of my characters has a very intricate backstory!

Evelyn has a past, which has been hinted at in bok books but will not be revealed yet. (Mainly because I am still figuring out what it is)

Cindy obviously has something going on, and if you have read my 'future books' book then you would know that she one ditched the werewolf world to go to highschool with humans.

Colton has a problem with his parents, which has been hinted at, and in the last book (of you read it) used to be cruel and angry which immediately stopped when he saw Allison the first time.

Allison has a very complicated backstory, it will be revealed later on in the story but I personally find it quite interesting.

Allison's Parents were kidnapped by rogues until Colton saved them (this was told in the last book)

Malagoria has a complicated past, but in case you were wondering, his is Allison's like 200 year old sister (obviously not biological) who's husband was murdered so she cursed the man who murdered him who came back later on and Allison beat the crap out of the man's pack then Mal took the curse off and killed him. Now that's just the simple part. (Btw Mal and Jake are mates)

AND THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO COME!

Alright, I have gone WAAAAY off track!

There will be like four or five more introductory chapters, don't worry they will (hopefully) be interesting before the real plot starts to kick in.

Have a great day :)
