A/N: Lamb, Munch please comment idk how you do it but just do it. Thanks! Hope you like it. Fingers crossed.

I woke up in my bed like always. Slowly opening my eyes. "Hey mum..." I rubbed my eyes. "What... What's going on...?" I asked, my mind forgetting what I was doing.

"Time to go to school honey... Come on. Get up. Or you'll be late." My mum put her hand on my back and pulled me up. "I don't want to go to school today..." I whined. I wanted to sleep and anyways, who could blame me? School was always boring. All the lessons and teachers...nothing is ever fun except recess, and the fact that we can talk to our deskmates in class.

I groaned and flopped back down on the bed. My mum stood up, hands crossed over her chest. Uh oh... "Clarissa Isabella Collins!" She scolded. I was going to either get a lecture or a scolding. "Get up this instant or god forbid I will ground you!" I groaned and slowly got up. Why! Why does Singapore have school start so early when somewhere in America, school starts at eight or nine in the morning! They don't even have assembly! They just need to be in school before school starts! Oh how I wish I lived there... But no... I had to live in Singapore... where everyone gets educated.

"Mum that isn't even fair!" I complained, getting my clothes out from my closet. My mum's definition of 'grounding' is making me train. My mum trains me in different styles of martial arts and teaches me coded messages. Not your normal type of mother but I still love her.

"Well now that you mentioned it, yes, it's not fair. I should make it two months. You might as well come back and finish your homework and start training." My mum threatened. "Okay, okay. You win. I'm already out of bed so can you please just forget about this?" I asked, pleading. My mum sighed and walked out of my room. "Come down when you're done. I made breakfast."

I took my clothes into the bathroom, placing them down on the table. Staring into the mirror for a while, I looked at my reflection. My wavy brown hair cascaded light brown hair and sparkling violet eyes. I looked nothing like my mum except for my nose and lips. I had never seen my father. All I knew was that he is a renowned scientist. My mum had changed some of my features before I was born. All I knew was that I have none of my father's features.

I looked at the calendar I hung on the wall. I sighed. At least this was a Friday right? But little did I know everything was about to go haywire. My life would be turned upside down on this very day. 5 May 2046.

I pulled my hair up into a simple bun before stepping into the shower. I finished in a few minutes and dried myself with a towel, putting on my normal school uniform. A white button up shirt and a blue skirt. The Fayllen High uniform. It was one of the few schools that were still running. The rest of the kids were mostly home-schooled.

I pulled the rubber-band out of my hair and tied my hair into a neat ponytail. Finally, I washed up, brushed my teeth went back into my room, packing all my things because I was too lazy to do it the previous night.

I pulled my pencil case and my stack of homework from my study table and stuffed it all into my bag, not bothering if it was crumpled or not.

Shouldering my bag, I walked downstairs to the kitchen. I threw my bag on the floor before sitting down at the island. My mum jumped at the sound of my bag slamming against the table and she glared at me from over her shoulder. "Do you want to give your mother a heart attack?" She scolded. "Sorry." I said cheekily.

She placed a plate of bacon and ham with some scrambled eggs in front of me. Mmm... Meat. It was rare to find any meat now. The animals were dying off quickly and any meat found could only be savaged by killing the animal before it died.

I dug in and gobbled up everything, stuffing all the food into my mouth. It was so...good... I took a peek at the clock on the wall. It was seven o'clock! If I leave any later I'm going to be late! I swallowed my food in a rush and took a big gulp of apple juice my mum had poured for me before grabbing my bag and running out the door, stuffing my feet in my shoes. "Bye mum!" I shouted. I pinned in the code at the gate and ran across the road, walking quickly along the sheltered walkway and into school.

I swiped my thumb across the machine at the foyer, marking that I have reached school. We do this everyday when we reach school and before we leave the school. I quickly walked over to join my class for morning assembly, placing my bag on the floor.

After morning assembly, I walked with my class and started lessons. "Hey." I said as I sat down at my seat. I sat next to Connor, my boyfriend. We were literally made for each other. Our parents were best friends. Both worked as genetic scientists which explains how we can communicate telepathically and both of us have no features that is like our fathers'. "Hey babe." He kissed my cheek. "You training later?" he asked. I rolled my eyes at him. "You know my mum. Of course. If I didn't she'd practically kill me.

The teacher walked in and lessons began. I sat through boring lessons, either daydreaming in class or reading my book under my desk. Somehow, none of the teachers ever realise that even though you make it so obvious by looking down all the time.

Finally, recess came. I always used recess to play around with my best friends since I rarely got to. Credits to my mum for this. I do love her a lot even though she is always so strict with me.

Hey. Connor said in my head

Yeah?

What are you doing?

Playing with girls.

Oh. Well then, I won't disturb you.

No no no! I immediately stopped him. It's ok. They don't even know we're talking. I can manage listening to two of you talk at the same time. Remember my mum's training?

Oh yeah... I almost forgot. Hahaha! Seriously. How could he? We rarely get to train together and yet, he forgets that time that we actually did.

Ugh... boys...

What?!

Oh nothing... I mentally shut the door to my mind in his face as the Connor in my mind tried to walk into my little fortress to peek at what I was thinking about. I opened a little gap in the door. Just enough for us to communicate. Oh. Remember to see what I'm doing today. Training starts as soon as I reach home. Also, did you forget that little thing that we can do? You didn't actually have to ask me. You could've just seen it yourself, you know? Mental Jace managed to push the door open a little more. See you later. He smiled and disappeared. I smiled and continued talking to my friends. All we actually ever talk about were our idols. Just like normal hormonal teenage girls.

Five minutes before the bell rang, we walked back to class. The bell rang just as I plonked myself down into my seat. Ugh... Lessons again... I had two periods of Biology and then an English period before I could leave. I guess that's my life... Just my sweet, sweet life. Little did I know, the massacre awaiting me in my future.
