A/N: Hey guys! So here's chapter 4. Sorry it took so long but please... enjoy...

I slammed the door close behind me and took a look around the room. There was a shelf full of paperback books. Printed out books. I walked over and ran my hands over them, feeling the spine of the books under my finders. They were so rare to find nowadays. Usually books were read from electronics.
I took a random book down for the shelf. Divergent. I flipped through the yellow pages and took a sniff at the smell of it. I sighed in content. I brought the book with me and sat down on the bed, stretching my legs out and started reading.
Just as I finished the first paragraph when I heard a knock on the door. "Clare... Open up. Please..." I heard Connor say from behind the door. I didn't want him to look through my mind so I checked on my door in my mind. I reached into my pocket and found a key. Taking it out, I locked the door to my thoughts before Connor could enter and see everything.
I continued to read my book when Connor opened the door and walked in. He sat down next to me on the bed but I scooted away from him and he sat even closer to me. I finished the first page of the book. What's a faction? I thought to myself "Clare... Please don't ignore me." He begged, his hand shaking my leg a little. What's a faction? I thought to myself. "Clare... Clare..." He kept calling me. I was too angry at him to bother answering and continued reading my book.
After finishing the first chapter of the book, I picked up a piece of paper from the bed and folded it into a small bookmark, putting it in the book. I looked out the window. The sun was almost all the way down. I crawled off the bed, still ignoring the irritating Connor and walked out.
"Anyone can tell me what time it is?" I asked them. "It's about seven." Connor answered my question, walking up behind me. I ignored him like he wasn't even there. "Guys. Answer. My. Question." Connor was irritating me. Like all immature boys, he was poking me but I ignored him, looking at the others in front of me.
The kids' eyes flicked from me to Connor repeatedly. "Uhh...It's about seven." Samantha answered my question with Connor's answer. "Finally..." I sighed. "At least someone could answer my question." I said as I glared at the rest.
They backed away a little and I turned away, heading to the kitchen, Connor still trailing after me. I picked up the bag of food on the floor and placed it on the counter. Connor's arms wrapped around my waist from behind and I felt him resting his head on my shoulder.
I unzipped the bag, thinking in my mind how to give him a little taste of his own medicine. Hmm... What if I don't let him touch me and ignore him for at least three days. That'll teach him a little something... A mischievous grin spread across my face and I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing out loud.
I turned around, giving him a sweet gentle smile before prying his arms off my waist and pushing him away from me. I turned back around and took out another six cans of food. Carrying them all in my arms, I walked past shocked Connor and into the living room where everyone was buzzing.
"Time for dinner! Same thing. Don't eat all the food yourself." I said as I watched them take out their utensils from their bags which I think they found somewhere in the house. I opened the cans one by one, passing them around to the other kids.
I plopped myself down onto the floor once I was done opening all the cans and passing them off to Samantha who was sitting next to me. Connor took the liberty to sit down next to me and the food got passed to him. He rested head on my shoulder while he scooped a spoonful of baked beans into his mouth. He held the can in front of me and I took it, eating my share before pushing his head off my shoulder, causing him to choke. I put on an emotionless face when inside my head, I was laughing my head off.
