The unfamiliar room

I slowly opened my eyes as the sun stingly burned my eyes.

"You're finally awake." Tom greeted as he walk in the room.

"Urgh..I've got the weirdest dream. We were all having a great time and then suddenly we were all too weak to move a finger." I groaned and sat up on the bed. After my eyes finally got used to the light, I scanned the unfamiliar room and it finally hit me.

"It wasn't a dream,is it?" He shoke and carefully put down a tray filled with food.

"Where is this place?" I cautiously watched his every move. He was quiter than usual.

"Eat first and then we talked." He instructed and left me alone.

Glancing over the tray, it had scrambled eggs and two piece of bread. Beside the plate was a mug of hot chocolate. As the smell finally capture my interest, my stomach grumbled with hunger.

Carefully placing the empty plate on the tray, I began to wonder around the room. Trying to think of where am I, how did I got here and where's the others?

The door clicked and revealed Tom with a suited old man with charisma.

"What's going on?" I suspicously asked and step backwards as they were getting closer.

"Lily. Welcome back to Red Blood Pack." The man cheerfully said with a warm smile but his eyes showed none.

"How?" I was flustered and looked from Tom to him.

"Tom princess carried you. Such a gentleman." He informed.

"Anyway, you're here because I need your help." He added with a clap.

"What - What kind of help?" I tried to compose myself but my heart was beating rapidly.

"The help where only you can help. I need your devotion as an Alpha and give me your life." He smiled warmly as he said.

"What?" I was losing my composure.

"Simple, we just need to kill you so I can take over this pack and maybe the Red Moon Pack if I'm lucky and that little Rose dies with the baby." He explained and sat casually on the bed.

"You are completely crazy." I voiced out.

"Yup but let me tell you a secret, all the best people are." He answered and left.

"Why are you here?" I looked at Tom, who has been quiet the whole time. He avoided looking into my eyes and stood there. Finally he sighed and began walking towards me.

"Sit down. This is going to be hard to explain." He said and pulled me to the bed. Gently pushing me to sit, he sat there and said nothing before he cleared his throat.

"He promised me to bring Elsa back." He started and WOW that was unexpected.

"He said that if I help him, he knew a way to bring her back." He added with more confidence.

"Tom - " I wanted to tell him that it was impossible but couldn't as he cut me off.

"I know it sounds impossible but maybe their is a way to bring the dead to life. He does know a lot of witches." He tried to convince me but it was more likely like he tried to convince himself.

"So you mean that you rather let your pack and family that are still breathing and loves you die for a chance to bring her back that could actually be some kind of trick?" I pulled his chin so he was facing me. He look unsure and lost.

"Tom. You're my best friend and I'm very disappointed to see you this way. I've thought you were the cool, compose kind of guy. The guy, who is strong enough to do anything and who knows what would Elsa think if you did this kind of thing." I told him.

"You just don't understand. You don't know the feeling of losing your own mate. The feeling inside you that feels so empty. The pain I felt when the bond broke. The pain of not being able to go to her and save her." He cried out. I immediately tried to comfort with but he pushed me away instantly.

"Tom." I called out. "I didn't mean to misjudge you or anything it's just that I know how it's painful to lose a mate. The stories I heard were even painful to hear, just experiencing it's unbearable. But did you forget that I too almost lost my mate. He rejected me and the pain was unimaginable but I don't think it can actually compare to yours. I'm just saying that I know how you feel." I wiped the tears that had fallen.

"But I've just got him. We finally got to experience the life of being a mate. Please don't take this away from me. I'm finally happy from all the constant bullying, the thought that my family abandoned me and the feeling of being so vulnerable that I almost told of suicide but I didn't because you'll see light when it's dark." I continued and by now my face was soaking wet. The thought of not being able to see and touch Blake was too much to handle. When I imagined the faces of my beloved family looking devastated when they failed to save me, almost made me jumped out of the window and run but I knew I couldn't even make it out alive.

"I'm sorry Lily but I've made up my mind. Elsa's more important." He said and walked away.

"The dead is more important than the one's who actually loves you right now? The one who helped you when you had lost Elsa. You're abandoning them? You're backstabbing them? What about your pack? What about the responsibility of an Alpha?" I angrily said and that made him stopped from leaving this room.

"You're a coward, selfish, and lost but that's okay. You know why? Because I'm here for you when you need a shoulder to cry on. When you need ears to listen. I'm here. Ben's here. Every single one at home is on your side when you need them." I cried. The room went into a pregnant silent before he shut the door close and never look back.
