"Okay children. Listen up." I hear my teacher, Mr. Wells say "We have a lot of work to do this semester, and we have an exceptional student with us for these next few months. Her name is Juliana Quinn."

NO. WHY ? DEAR GOD! I was about give Barry a look that says "Kill me" but what made me stop was the fact that she sat right in front of me. Instead I whisper in his ear,
"Oh, come on." That's just mean. Why God? Why does she have to so smart in science!?
I look over to Barry, and all he does is shrug. Having gotten about most my rage out, I shrug too.  The fact that her blonde hair would be in my face, for the next four months was hell, I had to move somewhere. Yes it meant giving up sitting beside Barry but.. Wait never mind. I couldn't leave his side, he's there whenever I need him and visa versa.

"Class, pay attention." Mr. Wells says "I've decided to start this year off with a bang." He stops for a moment to say. 
"Jack and John, that's not funny. As I was saying, I have decided to start this year off with a project. I also have a small idea that if I let you choose your partners, you'll all get off track. So I Have prepared a hat with everyone's name in it. " Mr. Wells pauses for a breath, then grabs a small top hat and shows it to the class.
"Okay. Let's get this show on the road."
He pulls out the first two names:
"Jack.. And ... John" Mr. Wells says with a sigh. He pulls two more names out.
"Barry... And ..."
I am praying that I'm the next name to be read.
"Francine." Damn. Well, as long as I'm not paired up with -- I get cut off by
"Kyle... And ... Juliana."
I was in a actual shock. What did I do to deserve this? Why do bad things always happen to okay people? You know, I thought I was a decent kid. I handed in my homework on time, I work hard, and now I'm paired up with Juliana goddamn Quinn. I see her trying to get my attention, by snapping in my face, clapping in my face, the whole nine. When I come back I say:
"Hey, what's up?"
"When are you free?" She asks, straight to the point.
"Friday... Why?"
"Great. Then we will work on the project. Do you think we should do it at your house, or mine?"
"Uhhh... Is mine okay? My Mom is out of town for a conference, and my stepdad is in Vegas, probably hung over. "
"Well. Sure" she says. "I'll come over on Friday."
"Kay." I say throwing up in my mouth imaging that Juliana Quinn would be in my house.

The week comes to an end that went really quickly. Honestly I'm surprised how that went. It was mostly a blur. I say my goodbyes to Barry and the bus driver and,  I am about to walk into my home, kick off my shoes, watch Netflix from my Ipad and play Super Mario on my Wii U, or something on my PS4, I hear Juliana's voice.
"Kyle?" She says "I have a quick question. What time should I come over? You look like you want to have some time to yourself, but I think the sooner this is done the sooner we can relax."
"Hmmm.." I say rubbing my chin. "That's a good point. What if you come over in about a few hours? What time is it now?"
"About 3:30"
"Okay. What if you come over at 5:00. That gives us time to do what we want and get our project done early."
"Okay!"  She says in her always cheerful voice.  "I'll see you in a hour and a half. Bye!"
"Bye." I say with some depression showing in my voice.
I walk into my house, watch my shoes go flying off my feet, and step in to the kitchen. I grab a packet of chocolate covered blueberries and decided to just watch some of Bobs Burgers from the T.V. 

Time passes and I look at my watch turn to 5:00 and I hear my doorbell ring immediately.
"Oh boy." I sigh and say to myself. "This'll be fun."
I open my door and see Juliana dressed in some casual clothes and a Nike sweater.
"Juliana!" I say as I let her inside and close the door. " So, how was your hour and a half?"
She gives me a very subtle smile and says  "Good. It was good."
"Cool. So should we get working?"
"Yeah. So I was thinking about what we should do our project on, and I was thinking we do a presentation on the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Oh shit! I never payed attention to our options. Come on Kyle think.. Wait. Just go with her idea. That's how you do it!
"So what do you think?" She says.
"I love it!"
"That's your only  thought about this project isn't it?" She says with a big grin.
Fuck! She knew!
"Uhh.. Yeah." I say scratching the back of my head.
"Well. Because you didn't think about this. We'll go with my idea. I also realize you will be trying you hardest working with me."
"Juliana.. I'm so sorry. I - I was think thinking of other things."
"Firstly, call me Juli. I hate the name Juliana and, by thinking of other things you were thinking of Brooke Sampson, the prettiest girl in grade ten, weren't you!" She says with a new tone I've never heard.
"Yeah. So, what's it to you?" I ask with legitimate suspicion.
"Never mind. Let's just get started."
"Okay. So.." I say opening my laptop and opening notes. "..What do we  know about the Leaning Tower of Pisa?"
As soon as I said that the garage door opens.
"Hey... What is that?" Juli says like she's just been in a horror movie.
"I... Have no idea."
I hear my stepdad walk in.
"Kyle... Go to bed its late.." My stepdad mumbles.
"But it's 5:04 pm. Why would I?"
"Shhhhhh... Don't speak to your mother that way boy."
I give Juli a look that says 'Yes. I deal with this every day.'
"Whatever kid. Imma go get some beer."
Big surprise
As my stepdad goes back into the garage I say to Juli, "Let's follow him."
"Why?" Juli asks "He's drunk we could die"
He's never been that drunk. And he never acts like that when he is. "Come on."
"Okay.... But the we go right to work."
"Okay." I agree reluctantly.
As Juli and I follow my drunk dad into the stone cold garage, we get into the back seat just before him and doesn't notice it.

We are going to follow a drunk man in his car. What bad could happen?

For the first few minutes all is fine, he goes to the nearest LCBO picks up a six-pack of whatever beer he likes.
Then my stepdad decides to go onto to the highway. I hold on to the handle on my side of the car and brace for the worst. But we were fine. Then he decides to use the four way, which is the long way.. But we're all good. As my stepdad become less drunk and more into the real world. He is in the middle of the road waiting for someone to make their turn so he could.  All of a sudden I hear words that make me shiver.
"KYLE GET OUT OF THE CAR AND MOVE AWAY! NOW!!" I hear Juli scream.
"What..? Why?" I say laughing a little.
I look out my window and I see a car coming at me way too fast and before I know it, and the car crashes right where I am sitting and the car goes tumbling down a hill I didn't even realize was there. The car goes down and rolls over and over. My head bangs the window, the roof and I hit Juli's head a few times. When they rolling stops, I hear Juli's voice.
"Kyle! Kyle are you okay!?"
"JULI!" I scream with the ringing ears that I have for a reason I don't know.
"JULI I AM SO SORRY!"
Then it all goes black.

Hey guys, I wanted to apologize for the long wait for this chapter. I really had work to do and nothing came to my mind. I soon as I post this I will get Cassie to get started on the next chapter.
