"Argh!" Kara hissed, rubbing her back as she sat up. Immediately her ears were filled with the groaning of her friends.

Most of them were unconscious, though looking mostly unharmed. Abigail however was awake and shaking Devon.

"Heh, I think some of them landed on their heads" she explained giggling, and Kara snorted.

"I, uh.... Let's wake them. But... Wait, are we in a field of flowers?"

"Nope, it's just a random patch of flowers that's seemed to have cushioned our fall"

"How convenient" Kara murmered, before smiling at Abigail. "Try and wake them up, I'll look around"

"Be quick and come straight back" abigail warned, and Kara nodded, setting of down a tunnel.

After a few minutes, she came to an open room with another hallway leading off from the other side.

Deciding to go back, she only stopped when she heard a voice.

"Another human already, huh?"

She blinked and turned around. In front of her was a flower, and it had a .... Face?

"Heh, you won't get away this time" the flower said darkly, and white bullets rose from the ground. Kara gulped and took a step back.

"The fuck?"

She turned to see Devon and Abigail behind her, staring in shock.

"RUN!" Abigail screamed as they closed in.

Kara shrieked and closed her eyes, fear overtaking her system.

But the hit never came.

When she opened her eyes, a yellow barrier surrounded her, with an orange splotch. She gasped and turned to see both Abby and Devon with outstretched hands, panick etched into their faces before it wore off to reveal suprise.

"What!!" Flowey screamed in outrage as the barrier disappeared.

"You can use magic?!"

"M-magic?" Kara whispered, then heard voices approaching. The rest of their friends entered the room.

"What's going on?" James yelled, and flowey grit his teeth. "YOUR ALL SO WEAK!" he screamed, and the bullets appeared again, but much larger and sharper.

"YOU WONT HURT MY FRIENDS!" Kara screamed, and felt a rush of determination.

A red barrier rose up and protected them before morphing into a spear that shot at flowey who had to run to dodge.

"That... That was" Kara panted, then gave a strained grin. "M-monsters sure are weird...."

"Hey, are you okay?" Rebecca asked in panic, running over to her to check for injury. Kara just smiled. "I'm alright"

"That was... You used magic. Not just kara either. Abby (Abigail's nickname) and Devon did too" Clarence frowned.

"But how?" Devon asked in confusion, and Clarence shrugged. "I dunno. Try to call apon it"

"Uhm... Ok" Devon closed his eyes and focused as hard as he could. He felt a pull in his chest and mentally grabbed hold of it. He heard his friends gasp and when he opened his eyes he could see why.

He was covered from head to toe in orange magic. It moved and shifted all by itself.

"This is.... Magic?" Devon asked, holding up his hand and staring at the orange substance that covered it.

"Should we all try?"

"This is crazy!"

"He didn't have magic before!"

"GUYS! Calm down! Look, let's just all try, OK?"

"How did you do it, Devon?" Lucy asked, and Devon pondered for the right way to put it.

"Just concentrate, and.... Like, focus super super hard. If you feel something weird try and pull on it with your mind"

"Uh, OK?"

They all closed their eyes, and did as he said. When they opened them, they were covered by a variety of colours.

Kara had red energy, and it seemed to have made her eyes light up somehow.

Mia had a deep rose colour, and it seemed to be the most powerful out of all of them.

Lucy had purple energy, that swirled protectively around her.

James had a deep blue energy, that formed mostly around his hands and made it seem like he was holding two glowing balls.

Clarence's energy was cyan.

Rebecca's energy was green, a nice light version, that wrapped it's way around her like a wooly blanket.

Abigail was coated in yellow energy, and her eyes had turned gold.

Devon seemed to have called apon more of it because it had a much thicker coating.

"I can't believe it..... Wow" James whispered, staring at his bright blue hands, unclenching and clenching over and over.

"Uh, let's try and de-summon it for now. It could be dangerous to maintain for all we know" Clarence pointed out, and, after a lot of groaning, everyone released the cost of energy.

"This is crazy" James muttered. "We've barely been here for 5 minutes.... Was our power awakened by crossing into the land of monsters?"

"Perhaps" Clarence acknowledged. "I think this magic has been within us this while time, waiting for us to awaken it"

"This is so cool!" Abby suddenly giggled, not noticing she was very close to a blushing Devon. "I can't believe we have magic! Oh man!"

"It is cool, but can we continue on? We need to get out of here and explore the rest" Kara pointed out.

"Ok guys, let's go!" Devon shouted, running ahead to hide his enflamed face.

--later--

"I can't believe we have to run away from everything!" Devon whined angrily dodging another froggits attack before dashing off with the rest. Kara rolled her eyes.

"There is absolutely no reason to engage in battle with them, Devon. We have to focus on getting our way around" Devon clicked his tongue and pouted but stopped whining.

Suddenly, they came across a house.

"Should we go in?"
