The group of humans headed out east, stepping out into the cold. Naruto's lips went a pale blue and he shivered uncontrollably. Devon shoved his hands in his pockets and buried his face into the neck of his shirt.
Soon, it became so snowy that they couldn't see. Until a silhouette appeared. Papyrus?
"I WILL CAPTURE YOU, HUMANS!"
Naruto froze, his eyes widening. His mouth opened in a silent plea before he shut it and took a step towards papyrus. The rest hung back uncertainly.
"No, we don't need to fight! Can we be friends?"
"Human, you ARE wonderful and kind and-" papyrus cut himself off. "No, no! I can't be your freind! I will capture you and join the royal guard! ...I am sorry, humans"
All of their hearts began to glow strongly. Papyrus had initiated a battle.
"No! Please, don't! Papyrus!" Naruto shouted, and papyrus flinched, before waving his hands, sending a very slow row of bones towards them.
Mia swung her hand in a circle, focusing, and a pink barrier surrounded them.
Papyrus sent a faster row this time, and Naruto ducked behind Rebecca and Lucy, who were looking for a way out.
As the rest defended him from papyrus, Naruto felt guilt wrenching at his heart. Everyone was doing their best to help him, and he was doing nothing.
Then, a massive shower of bones rained down, and Mia was out of magic to make a shield. Papyrus looked worried, he probably didn't mean to go this far.
Naruto stared up at the shower of deadly sharp bones, reminding him of the shower of deadly pellets.
Toriel saved me from flowey.
Sans saved me from being caught.
My friends are defending me from papyrus...
EVERYONE IS ALWAYS PROTECTING ME! BUT....
Naruto's eye began to glow.
I WILL PROTECT THEM THIS TIME!
A wave of blue magic obliterated the bone shower. Tiny chunks of bone clattered to the floor as the energy faded away.
Everyone turned to look at Naruto, who had fell to his knees, blood running down his face from his glowing eye.
He heard everyone scream as his vision faded to black...
