The first day of school is usually the worst day ever.
But not for Jason, because this was his last, first day of High School. He had paid his dues, he suffered through the previous eleven years in school. He had rose from Freshmen to now a Senior, and was ready for the feeling to walk through the front doors and know that the campus was his. He was ready to know he had nine more months until he walked out of the doors in cap and gown, diploma in hand. There was no one of elder rank amongst the students over himself, and he felt on top of the world.
That is until the alarm went off
"Ughhhh.." Jason groans looking at the alarm clock. 5:45, right on time. Thinking of sleeping longer and just skipping his morning workout, he decides against it. The sleep button on his alarm clock is broken from slapping it so many times anyway, so why bother? He rolls out of bed, tuning off his alarm clock with a quick flick of his index finger, silencing the horrid repeating BEEPS.
Within an hour, Jason had already taken a shower, got dressed, eaten, went to the gym and worked out, and even made his bed. His father was strict about things looking orderly and neat, but Jason didn't mind. He didn't enjoy keeping things cleaning, but he understood that it was one of the best ways to maintain order inside the home.
School started at 7:00, so he decides to go hang out with Piper. She was quite possibly the most Beautiful, and easy to get along with girl Jason had ever met. They had been dating for about a year now and every day seems to make his feelings for her stronger.
*Hey whatcha doing pipes :D*
*just getting ready for the first last day of high school, ya know the norm*
*can I come over till school starts?*
*yeah sure I'll be waiting ;)*Jason smiles at his phone and locks it, prepared for his senior year. He grabs his keys, and walks out the door, ready to see Piper.
Piper's house is only about a mile away, so in fifteen minutes, Jason is standing at her doorstep. Before he even gets the chance to ring the doorbell, Piper throws the door open, and like a lioness on the prowl, throws herself onto Jason. Unprepared for such greeting, Jason hits the ground hard with two gorgeous kaleidoscope inches away from his.
"Looks like I gotcha again." She smiles down at him
"Are we really going to recite lines from The Lion King on your front porch?"
"Well that wasn't quite my first idea, but it seemed like a pretty acceptable time." He laughs, and gives her a quick kiss on the forehead
"Alright beauty queen, how about we save The Loin King until after school today? Here in a couple minutes we should probably leave."
"Aww, why do you always have to be so responsible? Oh look at me, I'm Jason Grace! Also known as Mr. Perfect, proof that nice guys always win, and that dude Piper whips!"
He just smiles, and kisses her. Their lips meet in a warm, and loving embrace between the two."We're gonna be late, you know."
"Ugh, you're persistent about this today." Piper says getting up. She brushes the dirt off of her torn jeans, then smooths out the wrinkles in her flannel due.
"I'll tell you what." Jason says meeting her gaze. "We can finish this up later" shooting her an electric wink.
"I'm holding you to it." She says smiling. Jason offers his arm, like the gentleman he is, and she takes it.
"Man it's going to be a wild ride." Jason says
"With you, obviously" she retorts.
