"Love....is just love. Its a feeling you can't describe. Sometimes it hurts, especially knowing the one that you love, or fallen for, loves someone else. Although it may hurt you, all that matters is that he or she is happy. Knowing that is all that matters." I said. "All right, well here is 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri, one of my personal favorites." I played the song and chose a few afterwards to play. I pulled my mic up and sighed. "All right, who's this heart breaker that I need to beat up?" My assistant Trish asked, walking towards me. She set her hand on my shoulder. "No one." I told her. She leaned down and gave me the puppy face.
"Fine Trish. Its Josh." I mumbled, crossing my arms. Her eyes widened,"You mean Starbucks Josh?!" I nodded my head. "Oh girl! I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed. "It's fine. I'll get over him...eventually." I responded. It grew quiet, and we heard voices in the hall. "Lock the door, close the blinds!" I said, jumping up. Trish made a dash for the blinds while I locked the door. The voices neared. "See Niall, follow what Abbey said. As long as she's happy, you should be happy." A familiar voice said. I put my back against the door and Trish and I made no movement. Why were the boys here?Simon hadn't said anything! They could easily find out about Abbey!
The voices abruptly stopped. "Hey, isn't this the room?" Zayn asked. I felt the door shaking against my back as knocks echoed through the room. I froze, not sure what to do. I was supposed to go on air in a few more minutes! Trish tip-toed over and grabbed my arm. She pushed me to the left and shooed me towards the corner. I followed her instructions. She gave me one last look and and unlocked the door and opened it. "May I help you?" she asked. "We're here to see Lillian Cowell." Harry said. I knew it was him because he slowly pronounced the words.
"Lillian Cowell? I'm sorry, that name does not ring a bell." Trish said. There was an awkward silence. "Oh, okay, sorry." The boys said. She closed the door and locked it again. The voices from the boys continued down the hall. I went back to my chair. "That was close. Thanks Trish." I said. She smiled,"Anytime!" I pulled my mic down. Dammit, I was supposed to be on air 30 seconds ago! "Sorry for that delay guys! Just reading the....Twitter questions." I said. Trish jumped up and set the computer down in front of me. I looked t my timeline and read the first question. "This is a question from 'The Irish Leprechaun' Nice name! 'Hi Abbey, I really like this girl, but she is going through a tough time. What do you suggest I do?' Well The Irish Leprechaun, just give her time. She'll come around, and when she does, swoop in, and catch her."
The days' shift slowly crept by, and I was still tired. Around noon, I asked Trish to go get me coffee from the Starbucks. "Lilly....please come with me! My ex Adam works there. I know you with Josh and all, but both situations are awkward. Please? For me? We can get through this awkwardness together." She said, pushing a half smile. I got up. "Okay." I said. We walked out of the room and went down the stairs, getting excersize from the calories we were about to earn. When we finally got to the 1st floor, we went straight to the Starbucks and walked up to the counter side by side. A male came up. "What would you like?" the guy asked. I looked at his nametag and saw his name was 'Adam'. "Two tall Java Chips please." I said.
"Coming your way." Adam said. Trish was tense. I dragged her to a table. We sat down. We were talking about random things when Trish looked up and her jaw tensed. "Uh-oh." she said. I looked at her, puzzled. I was about to turn around but I felt arms wrapped around me. "LILLY, WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU!!!!!" Louis practically screamed. Shit shit shit. "2 Java Chips!" Adam yelled. "I'll....just go...get the coffee." Trish said, getting up. The boys invited themselves to the table, pulling up their own chairs. Trish came back with the coffees, blocking her face. "Hey aren't you-" Zayn started. "No, no I am not." Trish said.
"Double uh-oh." Trish said, raising her head. "What?" I asked. I turned around this time and saw Josh. I turned back to the table and looked down. I looked at the boys, only seeing their jaw clench, and their hands turning to fists. "Lilly...." Josh said. He sounded weary. "Who are these guys?" he slurred, coming near us. A strong waft of alcohol flew through my nose. Dammit, was Josh drunk? "Josh, stop." I said. "But Lilly, I love you." he said. He looked as if he was about to fall. He was closer to us, and then fell on top of me. "Get off!" I yelled, and pushed him off. I jumped up. The boys picked him up and held him, making him stable while Trish was standing next to me. Josh let out a creepy chuckle.
"You know you love me. Did you forget that I listen to your radio station? 'You can't describe love.' Thats what you said, your exact words." He said. I took a step back and said,"Josh you're drunk go home." Trish grabbed my arm. "As long as he or she is happy." He continued on. Tears pricked my eyes. "Damn, this dude is so drunk Lilly, he thinks you're Abbey!" Louis said. I shook my head. Josh looked at him,"Dumbass, what are YOU talking about? Oh wait, she didn't tell you." "Josh-" I started, but he continued anyway. "Lilly is Abbey."
