"Lilly, its 7 in the morning! Wake up!" Simon's voice echoed through the room. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes.I stretched a little and stood up. I walked in my closet to pick out an outfit for work. I went downstairs and grabbed a piece of toast and an apple and walked out the door. "Alright Si, I'm off to work!" I yelled, I walked out the door and hopped in my mini cooper. I plugged my ipod in and started blasting Linkin Park as I drove off. It took around 15 minutes to get to the studio.
I ran inside yo my own studio room, avoiding everyone on the way in. I looked at the clock and saw it was 7:55 am which meant I went on air in 5 minutes. I quickly devoured my apple and piece of toast. My assistant Trish walked in. "Dang girl slow down! Let the food digest." She said, closing her eyes and doing a yoga pose. I looked at the clock again and saw it was 7:59. "Trish, 1 minute!" I said, breaking her out of the trance. She opened her eyes and threw my headphones at me.
"3,2,1" she said. She gave me the signal.
"Gooooooddddddd morning London! This is your host Abbey and you are listening to London 105.1!To start the morning off, I'll play you this amazing song!" I hit the play button to the song 'Good Life' by One Republic. After that, I played more songs, then answered some questions for my listeners.
*two hours later*
It was on commercial break. I heard a knock on my door and got up. When I opened it, I saw Simon standing there.
"Hey Lilly." he said.
"Hey Si."
"Look can you do me a big favor?" he asked.
"Ummm, I don't know Si, it just depends." I said, teasing him.
He rolled his eyes. "I was wondering if you could write me a song. Its for this new group on the X-Factor. I was thinking of signing them off."
"Oh, are they that boy group, One Way or something like that?"
"Haha very funny Lilly."
I chuckled. "Sure thing Si, what should the song be about?"
He raised his eyebrows and thought, rubbing his head. "Anything that appeals to crazed teenage girls."
"Okay, fine. Hey! Is that supposed to offe-"
"You're about to be on air Lilly! Get in here!" Trish said, dragging me in the studio. Simon only laughed and walked away. I went back to my chair and put my headphones on.
"Sorry about that guys." I said smiling to myself.
*Hours later*
I looked at the clock which read 4:57 pm. "Well guys, its been a day! Don't forget to check the season finale of the X-Factor tonight at 8! Stay safe and don't forget to tune in to tomorrow's broadcast, there will be a special interview tomorrow!"
"And your off!" Trish exclaimed. I laughed. We said our goodbyes and left. She usually handled the equipment. When I got home, I went to my room and started brainstorming ideas for a song. I then went downstairs and made myself dinner, and put left overs in the fridge for Simon later. Around 8, I turned the Tv on in my room to watch the X-Factor. I saw Simon there, and boy did he look anxious. When the group came on, it was as if the lyrics came straight to me. I wrote down every word until I finished.
