I wake up to my very annoying alarm clock. I put the paintbrush back under my pillow and turn off my clock. I get out of bed and look in the mirror. My hair is a tangled mess, and I have dark circles under my eyes, thanks Internet. I put my hair into a high pony tail and walk into the bathroom and brush my teeth. I pick up my bag and leave. I don't want any interaction with my mom or Steve.
Eli pulls into the driveway as soon as the front door closes behind me.
It's Saturday, every Saturday since 8th grade we go to this little park near our houses. It doesn't have a name so we just call it 'Blueberry Park', because it's surrounded by blueberry bushes. It's stupid, but that's all we ever called it, so it just stuck.
I got in the passenger seat and Eli started the car, his light green eyes are focused on the road. His thumbs tap the steering wheel as he pulls into the parking lot of blueberry park. When we are at a stop I hop out of the car.
