We soon arrive at my house. The siding of my house is beige and the front door is blue. It's small but cozy. The grass is green and birds are chirping.
We walk inside, there's no sign of my parents. I take Delia's hand and bring her up to my room.
"When did this start happening?" I asked her.
"When they started dating."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want you to worry or feel bad for me."
"Delia, I need to know these things."
"I'm sorry." She sits down on my bed.
I sit down next to her. She rests her head on my shoulder.
"Do you want a snack?" I ask.
She nods.
I decide to spare her the lecturing for a little while.
We stand up and walk downstairs and into the kitchen.
Delia sits down at the table. I grab some carrots and ranch dressing. I put it down in front of us. I sit down next to her. Delia picks a carrot and delicately dips it in the ranch, she takes a small bite out of the carrot, leaving a bit of ranch on her upper lip.
Delia's POV.
Eli chuckles.
"What?" I ask.
He smiles at me. Raising his hand he swiped my upper lip with his thumb.
When he pulls his hand away his smile vanishes. Our eyes locked into each other.
