I only live a few blocks away
but I run the whole way there.
I'm sweating by the time i reach the front of school.
Great
Now it just looks like I'm to obese to even walk without sweating.
My friend Emma is waiting for me.
Shes sitting on the front steps, looking perfect.
She could easily be a model
and I tell her that constantly.
But she always wants to
lose
more
weight.
She tells me she's jealous of my body.
She's lying.
Her blonde hair is down to her shoulders.
She has the straightest hair ever
and a naturally beautiful face.
She only has a little makeup on and she looks like she should be on the cover of Vogue.
Shes wearing a pullover sweater, leggings and converse.
Her heads down, looking at her phone when I get in front of her.
"Hey."
She looks up.
"You're very late Ms. Wilson"
I laugh at her bad impression of a stern teacher.
"As are you Ms. Adams"
She nods.
"Thanks to someone.."
She holds her hand out to me
I grab onto it and pull her on her feet.
I get butterflies every time she touches me.
She opens the door into our personal hell and holds it for me.
We walk into the empty halls and head to our first class.
When the school year first started we had different classes.
That was changed immediately.
"We need to stick together"
She told me
"Together we are indestructible."
