I open my mouth to begin to speak when a wet cough escapes from Ruby. I look at her as she's bent over coughing up leaves and mud. What has happened to her?
'Danni?' She calls out innocently, I step forward slowly towards her
'Ruby?' I ask in the same confused tone wondering whether she knew what has happened
'Why am I here?' She asks, answering my question, she looks down at Tyler dead by her feet and claps her hands over her mouth, at this point it has sunk in that my boyfriend is actually dead and I feel a clenching in my stomach making me feel as if I'm going to be sick 'did I?' She asks quietly as if she already knows the answer. I nod my head slowly and she drops to her knees. We begin walking up a main road in aim of getting away from this hell.
'So Georgia's dead, Tyler's dead' she says and pauses 'josh' she almost squeaks and it breaks my heart 'he's dead' I see a tear roll down her cheek.
'Look' I shout and point over to some lights and what looks like a petrol station 'maybe someone can help us'.We run as fast as possible to this petrol station and burst through the door, clearly scaring the young boy behind the counter.
'Who's is that blood?' He asks scared, pointing at the blood on my hands from Tyler
'It's a long story, please help us' Ruby pleads with the boy and he sighs
'I am not helping you clear a body if that's what you want' he shakes his head furiously, slamming his hands on the counter.
'No, it's nothing like that' I say reassuring the boy 'we were staying at a cabin down the road from here' I carry on, stopping myself as his eyes widen at the mention of the cabin 'you know it?' I ask and he nods
'There has been unexplained deaths of everyone who stayed there over the last few years' he says and the pain in my stomach is back from when Tyler died. There is an awful silence for the next few seconds, no one knowing what to say. I spot headlights come into the station and we hide behind the counter as we could easily be accused with murdering someone.
The mysterious man walks closer to the counter to pay for the petrol.
'£40' he says, a voice which is so familiar, I look over to Ruby who's eyes are wide in familiarity. She slowly rises from her position.
'Josh?'
