Weapon or Meister???

~~~Levy's POV~~

I watch with excitement as Kid, Liz, and Patty battle the Kishin soul of Josef Mengele. I remember doing several projects of him at Fairy Tail Academy but had never known that he could still exist in an alternate world separate from my own. His Kishin form is a bit odd, with longer limbs an oddly shaped torso. The knobs of his joints poke out at odd and seemingly random angles, but if I can deal with animes like Corpse Party and Mirai Nikki then I can watch him no problem. Except, that's not what I'm really paying attention to.

I can't help but stare at Kid and the sisters. I can see their souls are in line with each other and it's so beautiful. He turns at all of the perfect angles, never missing a beat, and never holding back on the trigger. Not to mention he reads all of the same books as me. It's pretty amazing to be in control like that, but the idea of being strong enough to protect the ones I love is one to die for.

My mind snaps back into focus just in time to see Liz eat Mengele's soul. Kind of gross but pretty cool at the same time. "So Shrimp."

I snap my head back to Gajeel. I almost forgot he was there. "Yeah, Gajeel?"

"What are ya gonna pick?"

"What do you mean?"

"After this they're making us choose if we're gonna be a weapon or a meister. I think imma be a meister."

"Oh," I say, partly shocked. "I thought you'd choose to be a weapon?"

"Nah. That's pretty much what I am now anyway."

"Oh. Okay. Well...," I start mumbling. I had completely forgotten about that, and I really don't know. I mean being a meister and being in control of my weapon's wavelength would be awesome but... No I need to stop being so afraid. I need to pick something challenging. Something that would keep Gajeel from treating me like a kid.

"I'm going to be a weapon," I say, firmly. His jaw drops open and I walk over to Kid, happy with my decision.

~~~Lucy's POV~~~

"Meister," I say confidently. Maka and I hug each other. I can't wait to become a meister!!! Natsu chose weapon, so maybe I'll be in charge for the first time. Another set of arms joins Maka and I's hug. I look up to see a smiling Natsu, the same smile that stole my heart the first day I met him. "Good choice, Luce! Maybe you and I can be partners!"

"Actually," Soul cuts in. "She'll be training with Maka for the first month or two, and you'll be training with me."

"SHUT UP SHARKIE! NOBODY LIKES YOU!"

"OH YEAH PINKIE? I BEG TO DIFFER!"

Geez, they're giving me a headache. But it is pretty funny watching them fight.

"YOU WANNA FIGHT ME, PINKIE?"

I DIDN'T MEAN IT LITERALLY!!!

"COME AT ME, SHARKBAIT!"

Within two seconds, Soul's arm has already turned into a scythe and Natsu's arm is coated in red-orange flames. They begin fighting, throwing punch after punch, until finally some dude with blue hair barges in and hugs the life out of Soul.

"SOUL!!!!"

"BLACK STAR!!!!"

I feel like I'm missing out on the plot to some gay fanfic.

"I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"

"YOU'VE BEEN GONE FOR AN HOUR DIPSHIT!"

"SHUT UP BAKAS!" We all turn to see a fuming Maka standing next to Tsubaki, Gray, and Juvia. She's armed, two encyclopedias in hand.

"Ahem," she says. "It's time to go see Lord Death and tell him your choice.
Meister or Weapon."

~~~Juvia's POV~~~
Juvia follows Tsubaki and Gray-sama on our way to the Death Room. Juvia is furious at Gray-sama for making her jealous. He and Tsubaki have only stopped talking for her to fight the Kishin. Juvia has made up her mind on what shes going to pick and Juvia knows Gray-sama won't like it.

"Juvia. Wake up! We're at the Death Room!"

Juvia snaps out of her rage and walks through the doorway, making sure to brush past Gray-sama on the way.

Juvia will make Gray-sama pay for being such an asshole.

~~~Erza's POV~~~
We all gather in a semi-circle around Lord Death to give him our choices. Mira and I stayed with Lord Death and watched the battles as the others fought. Death the Kid showed the most skill, Black Star the most power, but Maka... she showed the most determination.

Lord Death moves from person to person, sending them to one of two sides depending on their choice. By the end everyone's choice has been made and they are in circles with people who made the same decision
