I know that I shouldn't have done that to her.

I was pulled between two tight strings. Let her take the beating like Mckenzie wanted, or help save her.

I guess I kind of did both.

After she was hit and blacked out, I realized that she was someone worth saving.

I don't know what's happening to me. I really want Mckenzie to like me, but I would rather it be Lisa.

I also know that she probably doesn't like me.

--------------------------------------------------

When Madi walked through that door and she left us alone, I knew I had to say something.

"I just want to know, in case anything happens, where we stand with each other," I admitted.

"What do you mean?" Lisa had asked.

"I know you don't really trust me because I did this to you," I said motioning to Lisa's injury, "But I like you... a lot..."

After that, she just kinda froze.

A couple minutes later, Madi came back and beckoned us through the door. It lead down a short dank hallway that was very poorly lit. Madi lead us through yet another door and suddenly we were in a very large room. However, this room was much different than the rest of the building. I was large and spacious with rows of old collectables (knights' shields, old whicker baskets, and other things like that), but there was something that seemed off. I couldn't tell what it was, but I could see that Lisa felt the same way.

"Why is all of this stuff in here?" I asked.

"Let's just say that it's good to have hobbies." Madi answered, "Oh! And do not touch ANYTHING!"

I looked at Lisa. She was puzzling over one of the yellowed pieces of paper on display.

As we kept walking, the feeling that something wasn't right kept growing, lingering in the corners of the room and my mind.

I went deeper into the "exhibit," and after a while of looking, I found something fairly new. It was rectangular, metallic, and had a small purple button on it. There was a note next to it that looked like it was written pretty recently, but the words on it weren't actually words. It was some type of code I think.

"Madi!" I yelled.

Madi came walking around the corner with Lisa close on her heels.

"This doesn't look like it belongs here." I announced.

"That's because it doesn't." Madi stated intrigued.

"Then what's it for?"

"This is for where we are going. We need to press the button."

"How are we going to do that?"

"Easy, we lift the glass."

--------------------------------------

When we finally managed to get the glass off, Madi grabbed the remote.

When the button was pressed, it took about 5 seconds for a clear tube with a blue glowing hue to appear in front of us.

But before any of us could set foot in the tube, the door of the room burst open with a loud clang.

Sorry for not updating guys! I got distracted with school, but because it's summer now there should be way more updates. I'm sorry to make you guys wait so long.
