Shopping [Hinata Shoyo] (Haikyuu!!)

request by teenagewriter365. hope you like it-- not sure if hinata is in character or ooc lol i suck at capturing personalities but i still write one shots.

[start]

"How did we get stuck with shopping duty again?" (Y/N) sighed as she trudged along the ginger haired male beside her.

"(Y/N)-san, you were supposed to do it, but you didn't want to..."

"Shut up, Shoyo. Don't remind me." She waved her hand grumpily.

Hinata simply grinned. "I think it'll be fun going on a shopping trip with you!"

"Isn't that just dandy?" She muttered.

Hinata scowled. "You sound like Tsukishima."

"Don't compare me to that pain in the neck!" She crossed her arms. "I'll have you know that I'm much better than that stuck up annoying person!"

"Whatever you say...you're not convincing me." He mimicked her actions.

"Weirdo."

"Dummy."

"Stupid."

"Annoying."

"Ru-" their squabble was interrupted by the sound of (Y/N)'s phone ringer going off.

She pulled out of her purse, answering it. "Hello?"

"(Y/N), please tell me you two are grocery shopping and haven't started to fight again." Sugawara said over the phone.

"Ahahaha...funny story story actually..." (Y/N) said trying not to sound obvious, failing.

He sighed, "I knew it."

"Okay, we'll stop and continue with the mission." (Y/N) promised.

"I'll be checking in a while, don't let me find you two fighting again."

"Your faith in me never fails to surprise me." (Y/N) said cheerfully. "Don't worry, we will try our best to not rip each other's throat out!"

"I'm really reassured, okay, stop wasting time and hurry back with the food." He said, before the line went dead.

"Well, someone is really impatient today." (Y/N) huffed.

"Come on, Shoyo, let's end this." She grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to the store up ahead.

She pulled up the list that had been sent to her and they started to look around.

"Can we get this?" He pointed to the large supply of candy and chocolate sitting on the rack.

(Y/N) looked at the tempting, heavenly treat. She looked away, almost painfully. "No...Screw it!" She stomped past him and grabbed a few packets off the rack aggressively. She shoved them into the cart in his hand.

"That never happened." She told him.

Sparkling with excitement, he nodded vigorously.

They were passing by the bakery section of the market when the delicious sight in front of (Y/N) and Hinata made them stop short.

"Can we-"

"Shoyo...stop tempting me..." she glared at him, trying to look at threatening as possible but the large white frosted cake with strawberries staring back at her made her resolve weak.

"Come on, (Y/N)." He whined. "It has strawberries." He persuaded her.

"I...know...it...does..." she grit her teeth, trying to restrain herself. If there was anything she liked more than strawberries, it was strawberry shortcake.

And then, she picked up the cake as well. "Your idea, your fault, your fault." She grumbled.

She couldn't resist it when she saw the fast food joint in the market. All the restraint in her disappeared as she rushed to the counter, dropping a few yen on the counter, ordering a burger and fries.

"No fair! I want some too!" Hinata complained.

"You have money?" she asked.

Hinata blinked. "Um..."

She rolled her eyes. "If I get you something to eat, no one else hears about this. Deal?"

"I thought all the extra things were going to be a secret, so why wouldn't this be a secret too?"

"Shush, just making sure." she told him, before pulling out a few more coins from her purse. "Oh, and Hinata?" she added as an afterthought.

He looked at her curiously. "What?"

"Keep extra money in your pocket from now on, because you never know when I'll make you buy me something to eat as well."

"(Y/N)-san!" he whined, "I thought we had a deal."

"Are you the one spending extra money here, or am I?' she raised an eyebrow.

He let out a defeated sigh.

"Hinata..." (Y/N) grabbed his arm involuntarily, as she seemed to dreamily float in the air.

"What is it?" he asked her, trying to ignore she was touching him.

"I...see...meat..." she said, entranced.

He turned to look at what she was looking at...

Least to say, this is why, Hinata and (Y/N) were never ever sent on trips to the grocery store ever again. At their return, they had brought several items, which, definitely had not been listed in the email. They had come back, completely finishing off the money that had been given to them, when they weren't supposed to use more than half.

At least, Tsukishima and (Y/N) got their favorite dessert...after (Y/N) managed to annoy Tsukishima enough to make him argue about who liked it more. Everyone else, they were enjoying the candy as well as the several different flavored ice cream. The delicious curry went well with the equally as delicious dessert.

No one was complaining about the two of them being assigned to get the groceries, except the people who's money they had completely spent.

"Are those...potatoes?" Tsukishima pointed to the sack sitting in the corner.

(Y/N) rushed in front of it and held her hands out protectively. "Yeah, you got a problem with that?"

Tsukishima gave her a look that told her he was questioning her sanity.

Hinata joined her. "Yeah, you got a problem?"

Tsukishima walked away, not even bothering.

"Haha, we scared him away!" the two of them high-fived, while everyone else sweatdropped at their childish nature.
