"y/n."

I whispered as I sat up from bed. I looked around the semi lit room and there was no sign of y/n. My eyebrows furrowed as I missed my girlfriends presence already.

"y/n? Baby where'd you go?"

I spoke out. Sighing, I got out of bed and started heading down the dark stairs. I rubbed my eyes and resumed to desperately call out y/n's name once again.

Finally getting downstairs, I notice the back sliding door was open. A cool breeze from outside was entering the house. My body shivered as I grabbed a coat mindlessly off the couch and threw it over my shoulders.

I got outside and closed the sliding door behind me. I noticed the ladder was perched up against the house. My head tilted in curiousness and I headed towards it.

"y/n? I'm coming up."

I whispered/yelled. I began climbing the ladder and when I was getting to the top, I felt my foot loose its balance. I desperately try to grab up to something, when I feel y/n's soft hand make contact with my own.

y/n pulled me up onto the roof. My heart pounded as I laid my head onto the flat surface. I open my eyes and see y/n's beautiful ones staring down at me. She looked guilty.

"I'm sorry cami. I shouldn't have gone up here without telling you."

She whispers. I began to sit myself up and I sat next to her. She looked at me shyly. I smile and grab her hand. It fit so perfectly into mine.

"It's okay y/n baby. But what are you doing up here anyway?"

I squeaked. She scooted closer to me and I rested my head on her shoulder. She draped her arm around my shoulder and sighed.

"Midnight is just beautiful. It's a deep dark place I can just sit and think. Think about all the things that has happened in my life. I would have asked you to come but you were asleep and I don't want to wake you up my love."

I looked at her while she was talking. She was so beautiful. So pure. It was breathtaking how deep yet loving she was towards me. My eyes were drawn up to the night sky.

"It's beautiful. Just like you."

I whispered in response. Our eyes met and I felt butterflies in my stomach. She smiled and leaned in and gave me the most fulfilling kiss I've ever had. I placed my hand softly on her cheek and kissed her back. I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

She pulled away when she noticed the tear.

"The midnight getting you emotional huh baby love?"

She chuckled. I smile and I laid her down on the rooftop. I nodded softly and I began to yawn. y/n motioned me to cuddle into her so I did. She kissed my forehead and whispered an 'I love you' in my ear.

And with that we fell into a deep sleep under the midnight sky. Two people who fell in love and who are falling in love more each day.
