Here is another poem I wrote inspired by "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, my poem is called choices... Enjoy :)
Two roads diverged in the land of uncertainty
One towards a steep barren mountain
And the other next to a cool, rushing river
I looked up to the mountain
But could not see because of the unforgiving sun
Without looking ahead, I took the one next to the river, for it was easiest
But perhaps to wrong choice
For as I walked the path slid from under me
Path worn from all those ahead of me
And I was dumped into the vicious river
As it’s icy figures pulled me under
I saw many others caught in the water next to me
I took the choice many before me took
And paid the price
For if I climbed the mountain, on the way up I would of seen the giant tree at the top
Sadly, I tell this tale of a fool
Years hence when I too the plunge into normality
Two roads diverged in the land f uncertainty, and, I
Took the road most traveled by
And that has made all the difference
It made me nothing special, nothing new
I am but one out of a river of most
Forever going with the flow
I have paid the price of taking the easy way
With my dream, hopes, and life
