My teacher makes us write a poem each month and the poem has to be inspired by a famous poem. So I already had some poetry written so why not post it? Anyway here is my first Poem I wrote this year. It's inspired by "Dreams" written by Langston Hughes; my poem is called Despair... Enjoy :)
Despair is a beast hungry for the happiness you have
When it's about to strike it gives no warning or greeting
But it's a storm
It's dark but fleeting
When you know despair is right around the corner don't give up hope
Because when you loose all hope it's truly your demise
Despair us a black veil over your eyes
Once it's lifted the sunshine will rise
