Chapter 7: The Angel

The next morning I saw jess.

"hey" she says, smiling at me.

"hi"

"so... are you doing anything later?" she asks me

"no I'm not, why do you want to do something?"I replied

"yeah,I was wondering if you want to go get some ice cream?"

"of course, I would love to."

So we went out for some ice cream then she took me to her favourite spot in the city.

"so what do you think?" she says gesturing towards the view, eating ice cream.

We both sit down on the end of the building.

"it's amazing!, I can see why you like it here."

She put her hand on top of mine

Then, there was a sudden gust of wind, she fell and started screaming.

I dropped my ice cream and jumped off after her, I caught up to her and caught her in midair.

She stopped screaming when she heard my voice.

I looked into her eyes

"Don't worry,I've got you."

She smiled,for a moment we both forgot where we were.

Then a mysterious figure caught us both and dropped us in the closest building.

Jess let go of me and stood up.

The mysterious figure had a pair of Angel wings and was using a scarf as a bandana,but other than that, she looked relatively normal.

"You two should really be more careful." she said

She looked at us both.

"Are you two....?"

Jess looked at me and smiled.

"We are now" jess answered

I smiled back.

"Well have fun on your date."

Then, I heard her think "I hope he didn't notice."

That voice sounds familiar....

"Amanda?"

She was clearly very conflicted, like she wanted to tell me something.

"Ben... I've been hiding something from you, from everyone, for a long time."

"I'm not from around here..."

"The reason I can't remember anything before moving here is because I'm from another dimension."

"Anyway, we should go back now,I'll explain the rest of everything later,bye."

Then she flew away.

Jess pulled me close and hugged me.

"thank you for saving me."

"your welcome."

I smile at her and she smiled back

I try to leave but she pulled me back and kissed me.

"I guess we should make this official."she said

"Ben....Will you be my boyfriend."

I pull her close and kiss her

"Of course I will, how could I say no to a beautiful girl like you."

She smiled, it was clear that she was very flattered.

Then hand in hand, we walked back home.
