Chapter 8: Back At The Base

Meanwhile Back at the base......

"Erghh, how long is this going to take."Kelly moaned

"We have to wait for the rest of the portal to be built so I don't know." ella said

"Why are you asking, you haven't complained all day, what's wrong?"

"nothing....it's just..... I miss her ella, I miss both of them ."

Ella sits down next to her puts an arm around her.

"...Don't worry we'll get her back soon...."

"Anyway, what happened with you and your family, tell me about them, tell me about you."

"Well it all Started 8 years ago when my brother tried to perfect human teleportation......"

~8 years ago~

"Come on sis your gonna miss it." Kelly shouted to her sister

Her sister sighed

"You don't have to be in such a rush, I doubt he would start without us."

"Well we're here now."
Kelly said

There were various noises Coming through the door.

"c'mon lets go!"

~present day~

"From what I can remember , it went quite well but.... then things started to go wrong." Kelly continued

"There was some sort of overload in the system, then there was a bright light. I remember my brother jumped towards me to protect me."

"Then the next thing I remember was my brother on the floor in front of me and my sister nowhere to seen....they were both gone......"

"I rushed to his library and read all the books to see if I could bring him back but....." she says, almost crying

"....I couldn't..... he was gone and I couldn't get him back."

"Well if you could you might not have wanted to....."ella said trying to comfort Kelly.

"Why, why shouldn't have i tried!" Kelly shouted.

"the same thing happened to me, I lost someone very close to me."

"So I ran to the library and found a book on alchemy and...... Well the results weren't very pleasant...."

"I didn't know what I created but..... it definitely wasn't human.......

"I ended up paying an arm and a leg..... quite literally, and failed to get them back"

Ella reveals a mechanical arm and leg

"It was only recently that I accepted the fact that I wasn't 'doing it wrong' it was the fact that alchemy isn't meant for bringing back the dead."

"and hey you never know,your sister could be in this dimension and neither of us knows it yet."

And as it turns out, she was..... but nobody knew who it was yet . but we were about to find out soon........
