        It sounds like the wa in wagon

     외 국  wae gook  ( foreign country)







  6. ㅗ + ㅐ = ( ㅙ )

        It sounds like almost the same as ㅚ.

                  왜   wae  ( why ? )








  7. ㅜ + ㅔ =  ( ㅞ )

        It also  sounds almost the same as ㅙ  or  ㅚ.

        웬 일 이 니  wan il ih nee ( what happened)  








  8. ㅗ + ㅏ =   ( ㅘ )

        It sounds like the first half sound of Y.

   돌 아 와  doh rah wah ( come back )







  9. ㅜ + ㅣ=  ( ㅟ )

         It sounds like the wi in wish

            위 험   wee hum ( danger )







  10. ㅜ + ㅓ =  ( ㅝ )

        It sounds like the wa in want

             추 워   choo woh ( cold )









  11. ㅡ  +ㅣ  =  ( ㅢ )

         The sound of  "ㅢ " cannot be.described in English.  A quick pronunciation of  " ㅡ " and  " ㅣ "  in that order is the sound of  " ㅢ ".

       의 사   ei sah  ( doctor  )

       민 주 주 의   min joo joo ei  ( democracy)
