Being invited to a party on my first day would have had me jumping for joy but for some reason I'm scared shitless. Like how does a blind kid get around in a crowded place filled with drunk teenagers? Also what should I wear? What do I tell my mom so she doesn't freak out?
I paced back and forth in my room debating on what to do when suddenly I had an idea. I carefully made my way downstairs and asked my mom to do me a favor by driving me to the mall to buy a new outfit which she was overjoyed to do seeing as I rarely ask for these kinds of things. I asked one of the employees to help me choose an outfit while whispering the part where I said 'party'. All but too eager the guy helped understanding my mom would flip and I was too blind to do it myself. I of course didn't know if this guy would make me look good or an even bigger joke then before but I went with it. My mom usually chose stuff that were pretty simple with a little extra edge. The guy handed me some stuff after I gave him my sizes and I went to try it on.
Feeling the material as I put on the clothes, this guy gave me leather pants. Subtle, reeeeal subtle. My mom won't know a thing.
I shook my head as I finished putting on the first outfit. My butt felt a little squished and the shirt I had on had these weird holes in them which made it a little complicated to put on. Once I heard a voice I stepped out of the dressing room to let the guy in.
"Damn that looks great on you." He said.
"Umm thanks but my mom might notice since I don't exactly wear leather... like at all." I ran my hands through my hair as the guy chuckled.
"I already have a plan for that. And trust me this outfit is hot."
"Well it is leather after all." I laughed. "What is this plan?"
"You came to shop, yes? So I'll give you these 2 more outfits. One has ripped denim jeans and a white loose tank top with these white knock off vans. Second, you have dark denim jeans and black short sleeve button up. Casual and cool on top with that sexy at the bottom of the bag." He said, with what I'm guessing is a mischievous look on his face.
"I guess that could work..." I trailed off. What if this is another prank? What if he only asked me to go to be nice and doesn't really want me there?
"Something bothering you?" He suddenly asked.
"I'm blind."
"Well yeah I noticed that."
"Why would someone invite a blind guy to a party?" I asked.
He seemed to be thinking about it when I heard no response so he probably was finding that a little weird too. I found a seat in the corner of the room and took a seat.
"You're hot." He said suddenly. "Maybe they're into you."
"I'm pretty sure he's straight and he already has a girlfriend." I chuckled.
"Never know he could just be in the closet." He seemed to want to say more but didn't. I just stayed quiet in response seeing as I didn't really know enough to deny or agree to that. I nodded my head thoughtfully. "I'd just see how it goes. This party might be cool or a total joke but you'll never know unless you try, right?"
"I guess so." His words caught me off guard. He was right though, I gotta try and see how it goes. "Umm... What should a do about my hair and shoes?"
Hearing a chuckle come from him I tilt my head questionably. "The shoes your wearing right now are perfect. And is your naturally hair straight like that?"
I shook my head. "It's kinda messy and wavy."
"Perfect. Shower when you get home and if you have some mousse throw that in to help a bit." He seemed to know what he was talking about.
