Things were heated between Lauren and I.
She scooted to where her chest was at eye level and there was barely a space between us.
"Dammit Lauren." I look everywhere but forward.
"What Camz? Something bothering you?" She asks innocently.
The sexual tension between us had risen from 1.5 to a solid 10.
"Camren? You home?" I hear a voice yell.
Lauren flew herself off of me, and acted like she was working. "In here!" I yell back.
Dinah walked in, "Where did you put your spawn?"
I laughed "Sofi took her to the movies."
"Sofi? Like little sister Sofi?" Dinah asks.
I nod, "Mom caught her with her girlfriend, kicked her out, and I'm being a good sister."
"Adorable, so what's going on here?" Dinah smiles towards Lauren.
"My coworker and I are working." I tell her.
"Ooh coworkers? Why was I not told?" Dinah pouts.
"I don't know, you haven't visited in a while." I calm myself from what Dinah had almost led walked in on.
"Mani and I are preparing for children, clam down." Dinah rolls her eyes.
"Children?" Lauren and I turn to Dinah.
"Shit, it was supposed to be a surprise. Well Mani and I are adopting a set of Polynesian twins." Dinah smiles.
Lauren and I awe at how excited Dinah is. I wish Lauren could've been there to be like Dinah, excited and jittery for a baby's arrival... or in Dinah's case babies.
I put the thought away because Lauren is here now. She wants to be there for everything, she wants the same future I want. I look over at her as she congratulates Dinah, Lauren is gorgeous. Her eyes were lit up to a bright green-blue color, hair in its usual wave that reached down to her waist like it did when I met her. She still took my breath away.
"Mila?" Dinah snaps her fingers at me.
I jolt back not noticing how much of a trance I was in. "Sorry, what were we talking about?" I ask, blushing.
"My children." Dinah smiles proudly.
"One boy, one girl, their names are Dylan and Daya. They're two years old and adorable, they look like I could actually be their mom." Dinah gushes.
I smile at her, I've never seen her happier. Dinah helped me the most when Maia was just born, and throughout my pregnancy. She's going to be an amazing mom.
"I'm so happy for you D, I can't wait to meet the little ones." I get up and hug my best friend.
"That's why I was here. I want you two to be Daya's godmothers. Ally and my oldest brother are going to be Dylan's godparents." Dinah smiles at me.
I jump up and down, "Oh my god yes! This is amazing!"
We all celebrate until Mani calls Dinah to help her set up. "Do you need help? We can get Sofi and Maia to help, Ally maybe." Lauren suggests.
"Mani, want help?" Dinah asks in her phone.
"I've been asking for help all damn day Mrs. Kordei! Where have you been anyways? I'm drowning in baby stuff!" Normani yells loud enough for Dinah to flinch and for it to be clear for Lauren and I to hear.
"Mrs?" Lauren asks me ask Dinah speaks to Mani.
"They got married about a year ago," I explain and Dinah pulls Lauren and I to the kitchen.
"Okay Mani would appreciate help. ASAP." Dinah smiles.
