I hope this chapters longer then the others!
Ivory's POV
“Bringg, Bringg, Bringg!” My morning alarm clock went off signaling that I had 30 minutes until school begun. I quickly got up, grabbed a t-shirt and ripped jeans and ran to the washroom. When I got in I brushed my teeth, washed my face and changed. After that I took out a brush and quickly ran it through my hair a couple of times. That’s when I truly looked at myself in the mirror. I saw a girl with long, wavy, red hair, grey eyes, pale pink lips, high cheek bones and deathly pale skin. She was average height but way too skinny. My face had a huge, angry mark gradually turning purple. I quickly opened a drawer to get some foundation to put on, but of course, I had run out of it.
I ran to my mom’s room and knocked on her door. Instead of waiting for an answer, I just walked in. “yeah?” she asked from the washroom.
“Umm…My foundation ran out and I fell yesterday so i have a bruise…” I told her hesitantly. She got out of her closet and looked at me.
Concern was clear in her eyes. “Umm, okay, come here Ivory, let me quickly cover it” she grabbed my arm and pulled me into her bathroom and rubbed some of hers on my face.
“There you go, all covered, be careful next time Ivory!” she gave me a small smile but it didn’t reach her eye’s “and hurry up or you’ll miss the bus!” she added as she pushed me out of the bathroom.
Dad was sitting on the bed, he looked up and smiled at me “have a good day at school dear” He called out as I closed the door and ran downstairs ignoring him. He did this all the time, he watched me get beat and did nothing to help me. he avoided talking to me or even looking at me when Nate was around but as soon as we were alone he acted as if nothing happened and we had a 'loving father-daughter' relationship.
I grabbed an apple and a bottle of water then went out the door just in time for the bus.
As usual I got on the bus and sat on the first seat. Frank, the bus driver was the only one that said hi to me, nobody else noticed me, and the bus started its engine again. After 10 minutes the bus reached my high school, Cloreen McHale High. The school was a very old building. It was brown and red and was two stories high. I got off the bus and went straight to my locker, on the way people tripped me, knocked my books to the ground, shoved, pocked and threw insults at me, as usual. I was a loser at this school, an invisible girl who had no friends. It wasn’t my personality or anything, I was smart, friendly, and nice but that didn’t matter here. In Elementary school, I used to be popular, had awesome friends, good grades and almost everyone liked me, but that all changed as soon as I entered Cloreen High, the same school Nate attended, and Jam's so called territory. Nate and his gang made sure that I didn’t make any friends here and that nobody liked me. Everyone was scared to be my friend here; no one even had the chance to get to know me. If anyone ever made the mistake to even talk to me, Nate would make sure to let them know not to make that mistake again, and not in a pleasant way. I don’t even get why? Why does he do this to me? And his friends! What’s wrong with them? How do they amuse themselves by hurting their friend’s sister? What have I ever done to them? They’re sick. They’re idiots. They’re stupid, low life retards that are mentally ill and need help, and I tell them this all the time. That’s how I got the beating from yesterday
I was pulled out of my thoughts by a loud chant. I looked up to see what was happening, a large crowd was building up around…you guessed it, my brother and another boy. Great another fight, I felt sorry for the boy because I knew that the boy had no chance. Sooner or later he’d lose. It was him against my brother and his gang. I know how loyal, note the sarcasm. Instead of staying back to watch the show I headed off to class.
