Ivory’s POV

I couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed by the teacher. For the first time in a long time, someone had pulled up the courage to talk to me and he was ruining it! Ughh! A small frown stretched across my face.

I looked straight at him and composed myself. I had a blank face, no emotions showing what so ever, like always.

“Since both of you think its fun, and alright to talk while I’m teaching and then ignore me when I’m talking to you, I guess you can pay for it in detention and not just one but for a week worth of detention!” he yelled in my face, clearly glaring at only me. I didn’t flinch, complain or even make a face at him, which surprised him. After a few minutes, he shook his head and changed his glare into a curious set of glances

Drake was staring at me with both confusion and shock all over his face. As soon as our eyes met he smiled. I couldn’t help but let a small smile make its way across my mouth too.

He seemed taken aback. We both looked back to the front of the class room to see Mr…. Umm…Mr… I can’t remember his name, looking at us. He looked confused but quickly looked away when our eyes met.

I started paying attention but was distracted many times by Drake. He kept drawing pictures of Mr… Let’s just call him Mr, and making hilarious comments too.

When the bell finally rung, I quickly stuffed my books in my bag and headed out the door. I had totally forgot to wait for Drake! It wasn’t my fault though, I wasn’t use to waiting for anyone! Well, he ran after me, calling my name. Shocked I looked back to see him coming towards me with a hurt look, but as soon as he saw that I stopped and was looking at him, his mouth started turning upwards until it was a huge smile.

Before he got to me though, someone grabbed my upper arm and was dragging me somewhere. Ouch, that was probably going to be a nasty bruise. I looked up to see a scowling Nate. I tried to wiggle out of his grip only to have him hold on tighter. I turned back to see Drake running towards us, his face twisted in rage.

Before he could get towards us, Nate made a sharp turn and pulled me into a class room. He pushed me in and closed the door. I tried to push him out of the way to leave but he pushed me against the wall and covered my mouth with his hand. He kept his eyes locked on the door.

After a couple of minutes he relaxed his grip, and turned to me. It seemed that he suddenly realized I was there and let go immediately. He rubbed his hands against his pants as though he had touched something dirty. He scowled at me again.

“What do you want?” I blurted out in an emotionless voice.

He looked at me for a second with shock which quickly changed back to his usual scowl.

“What the hell are you doing talking to that idiot, what’s his face, Derek?” He asked angrily

“His names Drake and I can talk to anyone I want” I snapped.

He took a step towards me and grabbed my upper arm again. He held it so hard; I could already feel the bruise forming.

“You can’t talk to me like that! Do you want me to beat you?” He snapped back at me

“Well I just did” I stated in a flat voice.

I guess he finally snapped because he then punched me in my stomach so hard that I stumbled back to the wall and slid down against it

He looked down at me “If I see you talking to him again, I’ll make him suffer” He said, his voice full of anger. He glared at me, daring me to say something against him.

I just stared at him with a blank face, while on the inside I was screaming and yelling at my self. I knew this would happen! Drake was now going to pay for ever talking to me, for making the mistake of thinking that nothing would happen if he talked to me. I had warned him! I told him that this would happen, I even tried to act as though I actually didn't want to talk to him, but he had seen through it all! Now what am I going to do?
