Dear Mommy,
My teacher told me to write you a letter because it's Mother's Day. I'm supposed to tell you thank you for all the things you do for me but you aren't here to do things. Dean said you died when I was a baby. Why did you do that? Now while all the other kids have Mommy and Me days I have to sit alone with my teacher. Do you think about me a lot? Because I think about you all the time. I asked Dean about you once and he said you were pretty and you loved me a lot. He said that he knew that you were proud of me. Are you proud of me? I hope one day I get to meet you and be like all the other kids. Until then I have Dean to take care of me. I hope you are happy being an angel without me. Dean says angels aren't real but I know that isn't true because you have to be an angel. You are my guardian angel and maybe one day you'll come see me like in the fairy tales. But it's okay if you don't. I want you to have fun in heaven. P.S. If you are making a room for me, I really really like trains.
Lots of love,
Sammy
