PSEUDO XI

"No! No! no---"

"You better shut up!"

"Stop! I don't--"

I opened my eyes when I heard voices and a slamming door. I saw myself lying on the couch with a piece of cloth over my body.

"You're awake," Hunter said as he appeared at the kitchen door. "How's your sleep?" He continued.

"Hmm. Where that voices came from?"

I stand up while combing my hair using my fingers.

"Voices?" He asked, confused.

"Yeah, those shouts. Is that your sister? Is she's here?"

He stared at me for a second, then shrugged. "Ow, yeah. But she's just practicing her theater piece."

"Really? Can I see her?"

"No---- I mean. She's a kind of girl that doesn't want to bother when she's practicing."

I nodded my head repeatedly. "Oh, by the way, I'm sorry because I fell asleep here."

He shows up with a smile. "That's okay; I'm happy to help you, Dimitrie."

"So... Uhm. I need to go. It's too late my Aunt is searching for me by this time."

I agreed with Hunter to take me home, so we walked together to Aunt Brenda's house because he said it was too dangerous for me to walk alone.

After my class, I am with Everleigh we decided to have a coffee in a nearby cafe in our school. She kept bugging me that everything I said about the book of death was impossible.

"Listen, Everleigh. Just listen for once. You saw and you heard it right. The three of the five names here in the book was already gone!"

She pouted her lips and rolled her eyes at me. "Then who's next? Dimi." She asked, then started sipping the coffee.

"It's Arthur Kinsley," I said, a bit shy.

She spilled the coffee on her side while her eyes became teary. I handed him a tissue while she was coughing.

She looks at me furiously when she is okay and gets over it.

"I can't believe this. Arthur? Your ex-boyfriend? You're unbelievable. Dimitrie Vandyck, can you just please stop this trip of yours?"

"I'm not tripping Everleigh; I'm telling the truth." I sip in my coffee, but suddenly I stop when I see Arthur walking toward me.

Is he trying to make amends and ask me to be his girl again, so he's here?

Oh, shoot!
