PSEUDO VII
Uncle was nowhere to be seen when I came home; maybe he was working for his business downtown, which is fine because I'd rather be alone than stay with that man.
I was hungry, so I decided to buy food in the convenience store.
I know I'm grounded, but he's not yet here for him to stop me, right?
After I closed the gate, I was about to leave, but Hunter suddenly appeared, making me stop.
"Oops, sorry if I did scare you. Where are you going?"
I let out a sigh before I answered him. "It's okay, I am going to buy something in the store."
"You look alone in your house. Do you live alone?" He asked while looking inside our house.
"No, no. I'm living with my uncle but you see he's not here so I will buy my food."
He looks a bit shy when he looks at me. "Ahm, would you mind if I invite you to eat dinner in our house? My sister cook Beef stroganoff."
"Really?" Beef stroganoff? The name tastes delicious, and I'm starving to resist his invitation.
We're walking together on the way to their house. It is a two-story house painted gray with a small garden on the side.
"You got a nice house." I commented.
He just smiles and guides me inside.
Inside this is a vast living room that is still messy because of their unpacked things. Hunter let me sit at the wood and rounded table and started to put a bowl of rice and the beef stroganoff over the table.
"By the way hunter, where's your sister?"
He pauses for a while, preparing our drinks before answering me. "She left before I invited you."
"Oh, I thought she's here so you could introduce me to her," I stated while putting some rice on my plate. He just shook his head, and we both ate peacefully.
The food was excellent. I ate a lot of beef stroganoff, and he is lucky because her sister was good at cooking. In the middle of our conversation, while watching television, I excuse myself to pee.
I almost forgot that I had brought the small notebook in my pocket, so I put it over the sink.
Hunter is a new friend; I felt strange at first, but I guess it's just a welcoming feeling for someone you don't know.
"Goodbye!"
"Thank you for the food, Hunter." I wave and enter our house. Uncle is still not yet home, so I decided to stay in my room.
I tried to sleep, but the thought of Arthur's inevitable truth about fooling me made me feel ill whenever I tried to close my eyes.
I remembered him again, and it hurt me so much.
