I stood up when I heard Ate Even.

"Ate Even! Where's Everleigh? I thought she was you." I said, disappointed. "Do you know where she is?"

Ate Even hugged me tightly and then cried on my shoulder.

"A-ate? What's wrong?"

"Dimi, Everleigh is in hospital."

What!?

"She is suffering from heart disease."

"Oh, shoot."

"I'm so sorry if I didn't tell you about this immediately but Everleigh ask me not to. She wants to be with you, without you thinking that she might die anytime."

"I knew it! She's really selfish!" I cried.

"She doesn't want to be cured. She said that if she'll die right away it's God's will."

"Where is she?" I ask.

As I stepped into the room where Everleigh was confined, I saw she was shocked when she saw me, so I dashed to hug her.

"D-dimi....."

"You are such a selfish Ever!"

She didn't answer me. Instead, we both cry while looking at each other. Everleigh's face is so pale. There's something in her hand and nose; if I'm not mistaken, it is hospital stuff while wearing a hospital dress that's not suited for her.

I'm dumb and stupid for not noticing that her body is really in a bad state. She became thinner and thinner each day.

"I'm so sorry." She said.

I just wiped her tears and embraced her, "shhh... It's okay; I already understand you."

"Listen to me; I want you to throw that book because I'm just thinking your life Dimitrie. Everyone's life is important. No one lives just because of their selves, and I don't want seeing you happy when there's a person who died just because you're bearing grudges." She told me while looking into my eyes intently. I can see that she is getting weak, but she is trying her best to say these words sincerely. "Every time there is someone who's dying, indeed, there are a lot of people crying. I love my life, Dimi, but it doesn't mean that I'm afraid of dying, what I am afraid of is leaving the people I love and care about without them seeing being happy."

"I'm sad knowing that if I'll die they will cry but you see my life is not long as we expected. Anytime I could die and leave this place, that's why I am trying to be someone who is beneficial to others, especially to those I love as long as I am here."

I nodded, so she continued.

"Our life is nothing in this world but loving and enjoying it? That's made our life worth living."

I hug Everleigh tightly; she's a girl who always gives words of wisdom.

She is always kind and sincere.

I can't imagine my life without her; I can't lose her.

"E-everleigh! What's happening to you!? Everleigh!"

"Doc!"

"Ate Even what's happening with Ever!?"

"Please move backward."

"No! No! Ate Ever, she won't die. Right?" I ask, crying.
