PSEUDO XIII

I'm lying on the bed while staring at the ceiling of Aunt Brenda's guest room.

I'm still thinking about what happened to Arthur's body. I wanted to cry because he was already gone; my boyfriend had died, my ex-boyfriend rather.

"Pfft. Haha--haha." I just shook my head while I hardly tried to suppress my laugh.

I know this is bad for saying thank you for killing them, but could you blame me if I say I'm so awesome because I'm having the book of death.

This is so cool!

Everleigh didn't attend our class the following day, so I visited her in their apartment. She lives with her sister nearby at the school while her parents work in Alaska.

If I'm not mistaken, her sister is working in the morning, so I'm sure that she is alone.

I knocked at the door and waited for her to open it. Once she saw me, she let me in and invited me to sit on the couch of their small but cute living room.

"Why you didn't attend our class?"

Everleigh stared at me and ignored my question. "Everleigh?"

"Throw that ridiculous book Dimitrie."

"What?" I got the book and showed it to her.

"This book?"

"That's a book of hell! Throw it! Burn it, just make it lost!"

I shook my head repeatedly.

"That's awful. You're getting wrong with commanding that Ever, this book is so powerful! So, why you must treat this as trash?"

I saw her eyes and expressions change from being scared to confuse.

"You said, you will only believe if you will see those things before your eyes, and it happened. So, trust me, okay? If I have this book no one will hurt me anymore. No one." I said while nodding my head.

She stands up and starts walking back and forth. "No. No. No. You're crazy! Who would have thought that kind of things? You like people dying!"

"You don't know what I'm feeling Everleigh! So stop acting like you are!"

This time her eyes become more intense.

"I don't know anymore if who you are Dimi. You such a lunatic!"

I slapped her cheek. "You're my best friend! And I thought you'll understand me more than any one else! But you are all the same! You just want to be happy by yourself!"

I leave her house full of despair. I knew it!

No one will stay on your side forever. They will leave you hanging.

I don't want to do this; I don't want to include Everleigh in this, but she pushed me on my limits, and I won't hold back.

'Die, Everleigh Harrison'

I ran as fast as I could.

I won't cry.

I know what I can do now, so I'll be stronger.

I won't want anyone to step on me again.
