PSEUDO XXI

Everleigh's POV

The sun is shining brightly, and this is an excellent day to start. The air is so fresh, and it is so relaxing.

It's been one year since that day.

Since that day, I have lived and enjoyed every second of my life.

I always make sure to cherish life.

I told Dimitrie that every life has a purpose, and I'm happy that she found hers.

Unfortunately, I didn't find mine yet, but I know someday I'll do.

I put down a bouquet of flowers on the gravestone.

It's been one year since I got this new heart and new life. Could you believe it? Everybody thought that day would be my last and final day.

Well, me too.

But we're wrong because life is indeed unexpected, and we will never predict what will happen next; if we are still alive today or later, we will die.

"Nothing is permanent." I whispered to myself.

If we are sad now, we need to expect that better things are on the way.

That's what I have learned.

I sat on the grass and lit the candle.

I smiled bitterly while looking at her name written on the rock.

'Dimitrie Vandyck'
