Chapter 18.

Mia's POV

I can see Steven standing there. While looking at his serious face and messy hair that is already on his face -- all I can think is this guy is really handsome. He is beyond perfect for me, a guy that is too good to be true. Dahan dahan akong lumapit sakanya nakikita kong hawak nya parin yung kamay nya and they are still bleeding especially the knuckles part. I am so angry at him for being in a brawl awhile ago, but I know that I can't get mad when I know for a fact that he only protected me.

"Akin na. Kailangan nating gamutin yan." dahan dahan kong hinawakan yung kamay nya at hihigitin ko na sana sya ng bigla syang pumiglas.

"uhh! Fck! Ayokong pumasok sa loob!" He shouted. Tinitigan ko lang sya and I can see pain through his eyes.

"Okay. No need to shout and never say bad words in front of me. Okay na. Hindi na tayo papasok sa loob, Pero kailangan ko gamutin sugat mo." Binuksan ko yung purse ko at tinali ko sa kamay nya yung handkerchief ko na white.

I can feel na kumakalma na siya. Hangga't bumulong siya ng mahina. "Mia.. Tell me. Kasalanan ko ba kung bakit nawala si mama?" He said out of the blue. Seryosong seryoso yung boses nya and it's full of pain.

"No Steven. Stop blaming yourself! Wala kang kasalanan. I'm so sorry this happened tonight. I didn't mean to--"

Naputol yung sasabihin ko ng bigla syang lumapit sakin at binaon yung mukha nya sa may balikat ko. He is so close to me that as if he is hugging me. Hindi nga lang nakaikot yung kamay nya sakin pero we are so close to each other. I can feel his soft breath. We stayed like that for I dunno how many minutes, and I started to rub his back to remind him that I'm there for him. Akala ko dahil mas madalas na siyang nag oopen up sakin, eh okay na sya. I guess I was wrong. He is still wounded by his past. A wound that can't be seen, can't be easily cured, after all this time my little Steven is still hurt.

"Mia.. if I saved my mom before like what I did awhile ago.. Do you think there's a chance of her being alive until now?" He paused. I didn't speak, I couldn't speak. I just can't find the right words to say.

After awhile, he continued. "pero impossible na yun. We can't bring back what's forever gone, but we can protect what we still have. Then if that's the case.. Mia, would you please let me protect you?"

After hearing those words tears immediately stream down my cheeks. Natouch talaga ako na gusto niya kong protektahan katulad ng kanina. T_T I can protect myself with my martial arts abilities pero iba parin pag may taong willing na protektahan ka. "Thank you Steven. Don't blame yourself for what happened before. I might not have the ability to make you forget the past, pero Steven I can assure you na andito lang ako. Ako na siguro yung pinakahuling taong mawawala sa tabi mo always remember that. Sorry if I wasn't there for you before sana matagal na kitang nakilala para andun ako sa tabi mo nung mga panahon na kailangang kailangan mo ng kasama but just like what you said.. we can't bring back the past. And now that I am finally here, I won't let you get through all these alone. I won't--"

I stopped from talking. No, I mean someone stopped me from talking. Umalis na si Steven mula sa pagkakabaon ng mukha nya sa may balikat ko, I can see in front of me another expression of Steven that I've already seen before. Alam mo yung tingin niya na parang ang dami nyang gustong sabihin, na parang isang tingin nya lang sayo naiintindihan mo na lahat ng gusto nyang iparating.

-- PLAY MUSIC AT THE RIGHT (Wherever you will go - Boyce Avenue) -- 

"Natanong na kita dati diba? Ano tong ginagawa mo sakin? I was once a living dead.." he said while still looking at me.

"No. You were not. Don't say that.." I said while still crying. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako umiiyak basta lang pag nakakakita ako ng taong malungkot naiiyak narin ako. Mia is such a crying baby >_<

Pinunasan nya yung mga luha ko kahit alam kong masakit parin yung mga sugat nya sa kamay dahil kanina. Lumapit pa sya sakin lalo until 1 inch nalang ata yung distance namin.

"I was once a living dead... until you made me feel alive again." when I heard that, I can feel butterflies inside my stomach. I can't help but smile. Wait! was that a confession? Is he saying that he's already in love with me?

"Wait. Steven are you--" before I can finish my sentence, he made me shut up. He kissed me. A foreign feeling that I never experienced before.

WAITTT!

MIA IS KISSING SOMEONE? Like the scenes in movies and novel books? SERIOUSLY? HE IS KISSING ME!! OMYGAD! THAT WAS MY FIRST KISS!

I'm about to push him away, but when I saw his closed eyes and felt his fingers brushing my cheeks.. I felt that maybe that first was really meant for him.  I love you. I want to say those words to him but I just couldn't speak. I just closed my eyes and surrendered to the kiss.

Thank you Steven for letting me be the one to make you feel alive again.

Claire's POV

I can't believe this! They are fighting because of that girl? What's so special about her!? Are they blind or what? After the brawl incident, lumabas si Steven at Mia and after awhile, Christian followed them. I dunno where they are going but I don't care they are really stressing me out. WHAT A SCENE! WHAT A DRAMA!

"I hate dramas like this girls. Sinisira nila make up ko! Hay. So irritating. Wait for me here girls, I'll just go to the powder room I need to retouch." 

"Okay girl. Dito lang kami and we'll find rich boys all over the place!" 

"Don't get what's mine ah. And if you see someone that is my type -- Introduce me!" I said then walked towards the direction of the powder room. Papasok palang sana ako ng powder room ng may marinig akong nag uusap sa loob. I stopped in front of the door and nakinig lang sa mga nagsasalita.

"Geli, diba that was Mia? Mr. Chung Yi's daughter? We met her at her dad's company business party. Gosh! Why is she wearing a simple gown? I mean she used to wear designer made gowns in our events. And that doesn't end there. She also knows the guy that caused the trouble awhile ago -- that doesn't sound like good for a daughter of a billionaire." I was shocked with what I heard. Until the other girl spoke.

"Yes! That's Mia. Maybe she's maintaning a low profile in her new university. She used to be home-schooled right? And you know what? His father already bought the university!! I just wonder why Mia is keeping that from her friends.."

"Hay. Let's just ask her when we see her again. Let's go!" papalabas na yung dalawang babae kaya pumasok na ko sa loob. They noticed me pero tuluyan lang silang lumabas. I can't believe everything that I heard!!!

MIA? A daughter of a billionaire? HOW COME!? So all this time iniisip ko kung anong special sakanya, and that's it. She isone filthy rich bxtch! Bakit nya tinatago yun? Dahil ba baka perahan siya ng mga kaibigan nyang cheap? So nagdadamot ba siya or what? Now I know who you really are Miasteysia Anne. BE CAREFUL FOR MY COMEBACK.

Hindi ako papayag na basta basta mo lang akong ipapahiya like what you did awhile ago. If I can't get Christian or Steven away from you, then I'll get your cheap friends away from you. Call me mean, but yeah. That's what I am. I'm not the leader of M5 for nothing! >:)
