(Moon_Cloud made this drawing of Lionstorm! Isn't it Awesome? Also Liongaze helped me with this chapter! Thanks!)
Lionstorm exited the nursery, in a daze. Cloverkit was full of life while Cinderkit was more quiet and calm. "Lionstorm?" A familiar voice called, causing Lionstorm's head to snap up. The shade loomed over the source of the voice and Lionstorm could barely see the cat in question. However, he could make out a golden pelt, which caused Lionstorm's stomach to drop.
"M-Morningsun?" He stammered. "What? No, its me Honeyblaze" Honeyblaze replied, stepping out into the sunlight. Lionstorm let out a sigh of relief. "Why did you think I was Morningsun? Do you miss her?" Honeyblaze asked, concerned for her friend. "I-its complicated" Lionstorm muttered, ears drooping. "Lionstorm..I wont be able to help you, if you don't tell me whats the matter" Honeyblaze sighed.
Lionstorm knew she was right. He needed to get this off his chest. "Alright, I'll tell you, but not here. Lets go somewhere more quiet" Lionstorm mumbled. He got to his paws and began walking towards the gorse tunnel, Honeyblaze following close behind. Once they were far enough from camp and he was sure nobody had followed, Lionstorm told Honeyblaze everything. From the dreams to the encounters with Morningsun herself to Pigeonfeather's interaction with starclan. "I-I didn't want anybody to think I was crazy" Lionstorm admitted sheepishly.
All the while, Honeyblaze sat quietly and listened to what he had to say. "Nobody thinks your crazy, Lionstorm" Honeyblaze reassured him. "Maybe I just miss her too much" Lionstorm sighed shakily, recalling the moment where as an apprentice encountered the body of his deceased mother. "I'd say its more than that. I'd say its a prophecy" Honeyblaze mewed calmly. "But what do I have to offer starclan? I'm just..me" Lionstorm sighed.
"Whatever is going on, Lionstorm. I will always be by your side, because I lov-" Honeyblaze was cut off by unfamiliar voices coming from some nearby bushes. "Hold that thought" Lionstorm whispered, as he snuck up towards the bushes. He peered through them, and a rusty stench filled his nostrils. "Earthclan warriors!" Honeyblaze whispered, her claws unsheathing. "How many are there?" Lionstorm asked. "Enough for us to take on!" Honeyblaze whispered. "On the count of five?" Lionstorm asked, unsheathing his claws. Honeyblaze nodded in agreement. "One to Five!" Honeyblaze yowled, and she bounded out of the bushes and onto the enemies, Lionstorm close behind.
