The blue skies were filled with birds chirping happily and people chattering distantly. (G/n), however were distracted by the feelings of unease. She walked back and forth with her hands clasped together in front of her chest, massaging the palms of her hands.

"I'll be fine Nana," your distant voice connected through the phone. "It was just a light headache. I'll be home in a few minutes."

(G/n) chuckled worriedly at the sound of her granddaughter's pure angelic voice. "Sure. Be careful on your way back. Are you sure you don't need me to pick you up? I can go if you want."

"No, that's okay." You answered back. "I need to go. Bye Nana," before she could reply back, you hung up on her, leaving her in worries.

-----------

The call she received was yesterday and her precious granddaughter still hasn't come back home. (G/n) was worried that her heart begins to race when she noticed her granddaughter isn't home a few hours after she called. She grabbed the phone that was resting on the desk near to the lamp table and dialed a certain number. It rang for a few times until a 'clicking' sound is heard, accompanied by a man's voice.

"Yes?" He answered.

"I need your help," (G/n) said, panic ringing in her voice.

You weren't sure how long it has been since you were trapped in the underground sewer with the overpowering demon hunter fending off demons on his own. You, on the other hand tried not to make yourself look like a clown, trying your best to get rid of the demons. He would've been throwing sarcasms at your own moves while you can only imagine yourself hitting him hard on the head. If it weren't for the sake of the agreement you made, you would've 'dumped' him and survive on your own.

"Can't you at least slow down?" You panted. The energy on your feet has given up and you could no longer walk. Leaning against the wall next to you, your hands rested on your knees and you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath. Vergil, of course was annoyed that he paused his steps just a few meters away from you.

"I take it that this agreement is now over?" he said sarcastically. Opening your eyes, you glared at him but he didn't care. Instead, he continued. "The agreement said that you don't stand in my way or else-"

"I know... Just stop it. Jeez, Mr. Grumpy head," You muttered, causing the male to cringe. But a few seconds later, it was replaced with a smirk.

"I suppose that you regretted your choice of agreeing upon the terms I gave?" He chuckled.

Rolling your eyes, you scoffed and crossed your arms. You knew how much this man only cared of his own well-being and he didn't even care the slightest bit of your condition. Instead of giving some 'motivational talk', he would throw some insults without a slight concern whether it offended you or not.

You didn't bother saying anything. You were too tired. Too exhausted to even talk to the man or even gave him a deadly glare. Your eyes are worn out and your headaches are beginning to take over. Letting out a soft growl, you push your feet away from the wall and walked pass him. His eyes didn't leave your figure and so does his smirk.

"I'm beginning to wonder how pitiful your life is around women..." you muttered, scrubbing the smirk off his face. You thought you heard him growling but that can't be possible right? After all, he's in love with himself.
