We looked behind us and realized it was only the janitor.

"I'm sorry, Steve I was just showing her around." Calum said, as I walked up to him.

"Get out of here right now, and I won't say anything." Steve replied, sweeping the floors.

Me and Calum quickly got back downstairs and all the way back to the office. The secretary was there and she smiled.

"You are a little late but that's okay." She said, standing up. "I'll take you too your first class which is English."

"Good luck." Calum smiled, watching me walk away.

We headed upstairs and into the English classroom.

"Mr. Peterson, this is Maya, you're new student." The secretary smiled, as I headed into the classroom.

Everyone looked at me, and hopefully in the good way.

"Okay, class this is Maya." Mr Peterson said. "Please make her feel welcome since it's her first day."

The class waved, and I noticed Ashton was here.

"You can sit in the back, right next to Ashton." He said, as I went to the back.

I put my binder and notebooks on the desk, and sat down. Ashton wrote on this piece of paper and paced it to me.

It's alright.

I bet you will, people are actually nice here.

So do you ever talk?

Yes of course.

I looked at him and he smiled.

Does Calum like me or something?

Not sure but, he does get really clingy to people sometimes and it could get scary.

What do you mean by that?

"There's lunch." Ashton said, as we all stood up.

I quickly grabbed my things and walked behind him.

"Please, tell me what you mean by that." I said, tapping his shoulder and dropping my binders.

"You need to be more careful." This guy laughed a little, picking up my things.

His group of friends were behind him so that didn't help.

"Oh, sorry." I smiled, as he gave me my binders.

"The names Eli, and here's Noah, Nick, and Kyle." Eli said, pointing to all his friends.

"I'm Maya." I smiled. "Well I have to get going, it's nice meeting all of you."

I quickly headed to my locker and put most of my things in there. I closed my locker and noticed that Ally was walking up to me.

"Do you wanna meet some of my friends?" She asked, crossing our arms together and heading to the cafeteria.

"Sure." I shrugged as we headed in.

"I got you and me lunch already so let's go sit down." Ally said, as I noticed a group of girls were waving at us.

We both sat down and I looked at all of them.

"This is, Hailey, Violet, and Emma." Ally said, as they all waved to me.

"So, why don't we get to know eachother better?" Violet asked, smiling.

"OK, um Maya how is it like living next to hot-guy Calum?" Hailey asked, giggling.

"You think he's hot?" I asked.

"Of course, he's like the only hot guy here." Emma giggled. "Let's actually ask her questions this time."

"Maya, how was it like in your old school?" Ally asked, as Michael came up to us.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need to borrow Maya." Ashton said, looking at me.

"I'll be right back." I said, getting up and following him out to the hallway.

"So, the house you lived in there was this guy named Luke, him and Calum were best friends unt-" He suddenly stopped talking, as I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I jumped, and turned around. It's just Calum.

"Oh hey." I smiled.

"Hey." He smiled back. "I just have to talk to Ashton, have a nice lunch."

"Oh, okay." I said, heading back to the cafeteria.

"What was that about?" Ally asked.

"Not sure."
