Chapter 9.5
Continue of Max’s P.O.V
I had looked at my father shocked,
“Autumn?” It was starting to make sense, she had arrived last night and that’s when the heavenly scent had started and who was in the Luna Night pack and didn’t know the way to the town?
“But dad she still hang up on me!” My father chuckled as my wolf started to whine for his mate,
“Give her time son, she was probably just a little freaked out that’s all.” And with that my father went back to work leaving me with my thoughts.
For the rest of that day I hadn’t done anything only paced my room and waited for Autumn to come home. Where was she and what was taking her so long.
Even though my father had reassured me that she was fine I still got Kyle my beta to call his mate to see if she had seen anything in town. When she said that she didn’t know I laughed and knew she had, if there was one thing about Six it was that she loved meeting knew people. If Six hadn’t met Autumn yet then she would have been in a frenzy trying to meet her. But it did lead me to think about why Autumn didn’t want me to know where she was. She had to know I was going out of my mind looking for her right?
Later that night at around 10:30 there was still no sign that she was home so I went to her room to find out if she had left something there that would tell me where she was.
I still remember the first time I saw her she had been wrapped up in her blankets quietly sleeping, it had taken everything in me not to wake her up or simply just lie down next to her, my father was right she just moved here, she probably needed time to adjust.
Looking at her now I could still see that sleeping, sweet girl and with that image I made a promised to my safe and my wolf that we were going to get our mate back if it was the last thing we did.
