Chapter Six

ARDEN sighed in relief, it was only Lincoln. He took off his mask and walked towards her, his eyebrows furrowing deeply when he paused a arms length away. Arden put their knives back in their slots before looking back to him.

  "Did you hear me?"

(Yes! I-I do! I wanted to look at everyone. I'm sorry, I was curious.) "Yes! I- Ai du! Ai gaf chek au en. Ai moba biyo, ai ain gaf in," Arden used her hands to express her emotions more.

She was curious, curious about everything. And today what she learned and saw was only the tip of the iceberg. Skaikru intrigued her, and nothing made her feel like this in her entire life. She wanted more, but she feared now that she couldn't have it.

(Enough. You could have gotten your self killed!)"Bitam. Yu kom au gada in ron op yu frag op!" Lincoln snapped, putting his hands on her shoulder.

(But I didn't.)"Ba ai du nou," Arden tried.

(It was really stupid of you.)"Fousen branwoda don yu," Lincoln pulled her in for a hug.

Arden sighed, closing her eyes. She was in complete comfort around Lincoln, he was home away from home. She was happy to have a person like him in her life, if anything happened to him she didn't know how she would go on. She had already lost so much family, her parents were dead, her sister was Heda now, and Lincoln was the only one she had left.

  (I can't go home. They know my face, I can't just disappear. That just be suspicious.) "Ai na nou gon we hou. De Skaikru get in ain melon, ai na nou jus banop. Dei hus laik koken." Arden said.

  (Then why are you changed? Should I tell Anya?) "Chomouda yu? Beda ai telop Onya?"

  Arden paused for a second, "Ai hon in fisop  gon hef"- in the distance Jasper screamed in blinding pain-"dei na em. Ai bants. Ai telop Klark ai na sisau em." (I was going to find some medicine for a sick man- that'd be him. Forget it, I'm going back. I told Clarke I would help her.)

    (Who's Clarke?) "Chon's Klark?"Lincoln furrowed his eyebrows, placing his machete in his scabbard behind his back.

Arden shrugged her shoulders, "Ems emo Heda, emo ste goufas no won sen em".(She's like their commander, they're all a bunch of juveniles so no ones listening to her.)

    (I'm on guard duty in a hour, I have to go. Be safe.) Lincoln studied her face, then spoke, "Ai dor geda in taim, Ai dor sisau. Laik klir."

   ( Bye brother.) "Leida bro," Arden quickly hugged him and then let him go.

   As Lincoln walked through the mist and back where he came from Arden turned around completely and went for her bag. As she stepped over a log and tripped over something, she caught herself with her hands. Groaning, as she had fallen on the ground already many times today, she twisted to find what made her stumble.

   On her side now, Arden saw the culprit. It was the girl she had stolen clothing from, only in her undergarments. Her throat and stomach was slashed open, it looked like something got to her. Taking a deep breath, Arden got back up, trying to forget the face of the teared up girl. But her dead eyes haunted her mind.

   After she changed she ate the small amount of food she had in the bag always, just incase she got hungry while she travelled.  A bunch nuts and some berry juices that filled you up instantly were kept away in a mason jar. She popped the jar open and ate then nuts, then guzzled the juices. She put the jar back in her bag, hid the bag and headed back to the site of where the skaikru landed.

   When she got there, people were under trees and huddled up together for warmth while they slept. Arden looked at their small smiles on their lips while their eyes were closed and their minds where somewhere else. To her right a small fire was going, people staying near it for warmth. She would be too if she wasn't used to the She made her way to the dropship, then entered to find more sleeping adolescents. She saw that Clarke was climbing down the ladder, she smiled when she saw Arden.
