Their dreams fly on wings
Of airplanes and crying birds,
Across swollen blue skies;
Summertime oceans.

Patiently they wait to satiate
Their keening to soar, gasping escape
Into glorious open spaces,
Open eyes

At starry skies and suns, moons
That dot a foreign far away horizon.
The sun dial moves.
Now they glide.
