HERE YOU GO
__________________________________________________________________________________Frank's POV
I could only say one word as we were sprinting back towards camp, the two Apollo campers and Chiron close behind. I said to Hazel, who was running next to me, "...How?"
She turned to face me, with those beautiful gold eyes. "I...I don't know, but what matters now is that he's ok."
Yeah...but, even though I hated myself for asking this in my head, did I really want him alive?
It's just that, when he was gone, there was nothing that could endanger my firewood, and no one to get in the way of me and Hazel. I have to admit, it was pretty awkward when Hazel told me about Sammy and Leo. Would she want him, because of who his ancestor was?
But, even though we were all sad when Leo 'died', it finally made me stop worrying. All of my concerns just vanished, and I could finally breathe.
Now he was back again. With more drama then ever.
Oh Leo, I thought to myself, what did you get yourself into this time?
Piper's POV
When we made it back to camp and towards the Big House, other campers bombarded us with questions.
What was the giant fireball thing?
Who's in the stretcher?
Are we under attack?
Chiron brushed all of them off, and we continued toward the Big House. The Apollo campers put Leo in an infirmary bed, checking all of the vitals, heartbeat, breathing...
The six of us, including Nyssa and Jake (The Stolls had left to tell their half-siblings, probably) were forced to wait outside in the hall. For a while, none of us spoke. Then, Nyssa broke the silence.
"How?"
Why, what a great question.
"Was there anything that he had with him when he defeated Gaea?" Annabeth asked. "There's no way he could've had the physicians cure...right?"
Hazel suddenly looked very uncomfortable. I knew something was up. I looked at Percy, getting his attention, and then nodded my head towards Hazel, who was staring at her feet. Percy nodded, and we each grabbed one of Hazel's hands and brought her down the hallway. As soon as we were out of earshot of the others, I looked into the daughter of Pluto's eyes. "Spill."
She looked at me and Percy, took a deep breath, and told us everything. How she used the Mist to have a fake physicians cure in her pocket. How Leo had the real one. And how she never told anyone but Leo and Frank. We calmed her down. This was obviously how Leo survived the explosion. Well, he most likely didn't survive, but he must have put it in Festus or something and had him inject it in him after everything happened.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys, but-" Hazel blubbered, sounding so apologetic I felt bad for her.
"Look, Hazel, calm down," Percy soothed. "This is good. Without your brilliant plan, who knows what would've happened to Leo."
That must have been the smartest thing that Seaweed Brain said all day. The two of us had instantly bonded on the Argo II, and became the biggest friendship on the quest. Of course, I definitely wasn't trying to get in a relationship with Percy, 1. because Percabeth is my OTP (#aphorditeside) and 2. Annabeth is not someone I want to get in a fight with.
The three of us returned to the rest of the group, who was whispering to each other about Leo. Nyssa and Jake were jittery with nerves, tapping their feet, eyes darting from side to side. I couldn't blame them. This is their little brother we're talking about. Still, I needed to calm them down. With an ounce of charmspeak for good measure, I addressed them, "Guys, calm down. You two look like the Stolls when Grover dared them to eat a bag of sugar. Leo's going to be fine." I offered a reassuring smile, and the siblings returned one. Then, the infirmary door opened, making all of us jump. There stood one of the Apollo campers who carried the stretcher, who I could now recognize to be James Albman (A/N idk random name :P), a small fourteen year old that just arrived about a month ago. "He's awake."
That's all it took. The eight of us were running through the door to see our long-lost friend, our jokester, our Repair Boy.
