Chapter 5

It's been about two weeks since the pool party and the day I came home. It's been such a great week. Me, Hailey, and Kyle have been spending a lot of time unboxing stuff in my house and messing a round and swimming.

The worst thing about this week, is Ashlynn moved. Her dad got a new job in London so she had to leave with her family. Nathan has been depressed and so far they are trying to work with the long distance thing.

No one knows when she'll be coming back or even if she will. Oh and Hailey and Carter are an official thing now, Delainee got over the flu so Kyle has been hanging with her over the weekend.

I my self have been out shopping with Hailey getting some clothes since school starts in two weeks. Summer vacation is finally coming an end.

I'm also thinking about dying my hair and cutting it short again like I did before I left for Cali. I'm excited but I don't when I'm gunna dye it.

"Bree! Let's go Kyle and Carter are waiting for us!" I hear Hailey yell from downstairs. I slip on my crop top that has the moons on it, along with my black high waisted shorts. I put on my white high top converse and leave my hair down. I check my makeup one more time then grab my phone. I unhook my purse off the clip on the wall and sprint downstairs.

"Cute hoodie!" I motion to her new hoodie that says Vans on it. She's also wearing skinny jeans and red converse.

We walk outside and find Everyone piled up inside my new 2003 red and black mustang, that my parents got me. They also got me a brand new bike as well, for an early birthday gift.

"Really guys!" I scream at them. I walk back inside and grab my keys come back out and everyone is talking. I open up the drivers side door and get it. I turn on the engine and back out of the driveway.

I start heading towards the mall when I see a gray mustang pull up behind us. I look back and find Nathan. I wave behind us and he waves back.

Hailey gets a phone call from him and she tells him were going to the mall. "He's gunna come with us!" Hailey yells to me as we continue down the road.

"Okay." I tell her. I turn on my blinker and enter the parking lot. Nathan parks next to us and gets out of his car. Damn he looks dead as fuck. His eyes are all puffy, but yet he still his rocking a great look. Everyone gets out of the car one by one.

"Nice flannel!" I tell Nathan giving him a big heartfelt hug.

"Thanks I decided to forget about the whole Ashlynn leaving thing, and face that it's just what's gunna happen. We're still trying really hard to make this long distance thing work though." I understand how he feels. I had to be away from Ashlynn and Hailey for years. I give him another hug and we all start walking to the mall.

"Hey Bree, mind if I walk with you?" Kyle asks walking up to me and Nathan.

"Ya sure go ahead." I tell him.

"Great, Delainee is with her aunt and mom getting "pampered I guess that's what you girls call it." We start cracking up, but get quiet as a couple walks past our group when we enter the mall.

I look behind us and find Carter and Hailey holding hands and talking. She looks so happy, it makes me smile.

"Hey guys we're just gunna go down to the food court for a little we'll meet up with you later!" Carter tells us as they walk in a different direction.

"Awesome I look like a slut with two guys with me." Nathan and Kyle both laugh.

"Where to, Bree?" Kyle asks leaning his arm on my shoulder.

"Victoria Secret's!" I scream running towards the store. I walk inside and get greeted by all the amazing new clothes.

"Oh my gosh no, they brought them back!" I scream. I pick up the super hero bras and grab one of each style in my size and jump up and down. I then notice the matching panties and I grab those as well.

"You go on in guys I'm gunna head over to the comic book store." Nathan says leaving Victoria Secrets and walking next door. Kyle decides to stay with me even when I told him he could go with Nathan.

"Go try them on!" Kyle tells me shoving me into a changing room. I close the the curtain behind me and put on the first pair, Batman.

"Ooh I like this one so much!" I squeal.

I was about to change into my clothes but Kyle says something.

"What I didn't hear you!" I ask.

"Let me see!" Kyle repeats. My face heats up but I open the curtain slightly to peak my head out.

"Why?" I ask him.

"Just come out here!" He stands up off the couch, they have in the sitting area, and pull me out by my hand. I come out and he looks at me up and down. "Batman? I never knew you like batman so much." He keeps roaming my body, I feel so awkward so I quickly run back into the changing room and close the curtain.

"Oh come on, Batman is like the best of all time!" He tells me.

I change back into my own clothes and walk back out with all of my items I'm gunna buy. I grab his arm and pull him toward the check out.

"Is this all?" The lady at the cashier asks?

"Yup it is!" I answer with glee. I go to open up my wallet when she tells me the total of it all, sixty one dollars, but Kyle already handed her a card. "Oh no, no, no. You are not paying." I take the card out of her hand, but Kyle rips it's out of mine and hands it back to her.

"I'm paying." Kyle says. The cashier rings up the card and hands it back to him. She gives me the bag full of all my new clothes and we head out of the store.

"You didn't have to do that. You have your own girlfriend you can pay for. I tell him." As we meet up with Nathan outside the store.

"Ya well Delainee is a brat and basically buys anything she wants, we hardly even go out anywhere together." He answers me.

"Oh ya Delainee, dude I told you a million times she's a bitch and a major slut, dump her already!" Nathan playfully hits Kyle's shoulder.

"I can't you know what her dad will do to me, he'll beat the crap out of me like there's no tomorrow." We start walking towards the food court to meet up Ruth Hailey and Carter.

"Ya well I beat his ass up too." Nathan starts laughing and me and Kyle start laughing too.

I'm speechless right now, so many things are going through my head. What will Delainee's dad do to him? And why?

"Hey if your worrying about me you shouldn't have to. It's nothing." Kyle bends down and whispers in my ear.

"Wha-what?" I studder.

"Don't worry about me Cutie, I'll be fine. Nothing I can't handle." As Kyle finishes his sentence he flexes his arms and a huge muscle bulges out. My heart starts beating faster, and my cheeks heat up.

He wraps his arm around me and us three meet up with Hailey and Carter. We eat real quick and then split up. Me and Hailey go alone to our stores, the guys to their own. Then later Nathan had to leave, so Kyle and I walked together as Carter and Hailey went off on their own again.

When we finally went back to the car the trunk almost couldn't close, so some of the bags had to go in between Carter and Kyle.
