The condensed water vapor peppered Kirstie's apartment window in a, surprisingly, stormy night in the middle of summer. She watched as small hints of sunlight disappear behind the dark clouds in the dull and gloomy sky from afar. Despite the distance of the couch and the window, she could still hear the continuous tapping made by the cascading droplets of water from the stratosphere itself.
Kirstie fished her phone out of her purse at the coffee table, squinting slightly at the sudden amount of light introduced onto her eyes when she opened it, revealing her favorite picture of the whole crew. She sighed in disappointment as she scrolled through her texts, containing various messages of reject from her friends. They were supposed to have a movie night---uhhh---day today in her place but was immediately cancelled because of some obvious reasons. She sighed for what seemed like the millionth time. She really wanted to see that movie with them. Especially with Avi, if you know what I mean. Wink, wink.
She was lounging in the couch, doing stuffs on her phone, when someone knocked on the door. Olaf was already asleep on her bed---she let it pass---so she wasn't surprised that no one was scratching at her door. She ordered pizza just seconds ago so she the first thing that would come to mind was the pizza guy. But pizza deliveries aren't that fast, sooooo. Who the hell is at the door?
The persistent knocker continued on and Kirstie groaned in frustration. "In a minute!" She rolled off the couch and into the door. Just kidding. She walked to the door. Although, she did rolled off the couch. Not on the floor.
Moving on! She trudged her way to her wooden door that seemed awfully further away at the moment. Yeah, she was that down. Or that disappointed in not seeing Avi at the least. The guy knocked again and this time, it was much louder and much harder. "Okay! Okay! Geez! Don't you people have something better to do than bang on my---Oh hey, Avi." She swung the door open and reveal the one and only Avi Kaplan, only a little bit more bedraggled than anyone would usually be.
Kirstie's voice morphed from an angry vicious monster to a soft and frail girl with the most innocent and gentlest voice ever in mere milliseconds. She then realized what she looked like. She somehow stroke her hair as an attempt to tame the wild viper-like tangles. She tried to pull her sweater down seeing that she's only wearing a very, very short shorts. It may be classified as an underwear but Avi didn't seem to notice. Instead, he smiled at her in amusement.
"Someone had a rough day." Kirstie only smiled sheepishly at him. "I brought coffee." He held up his hands to reveal to cups of coffees in each. "You just---I'll be right back." She then dashed inside her bedroom to dress something more...appropriate at the moment. "Just come inside and take some towel from the bathroom!" Her voice was muffled by the the wall separating them. The bedroom door opened and out she came, a pink fluffy pajama bottoms hugging her waist and covering her legs. As she walk pass the bathroom, she saw Avi drying himself with her towel. Well, she didn't saw him inside. But, you get the idea. She went back to her room and looked for something big for Avi to wear. It's a good thing that some of ex' stuff are still there.
3 and a half minutes later, both of them are sitting on the couch, sipping on some hot coffee with the popcorn on the already microwave. "Soooooo. What do you want to watch?"

While she was choosing some movies from her pile on the coffee table, she asked him about his crazy story of how he miraculously got here. "I was already at Star Bucks when the storm started." He started. "After ordering the coffees--" Gesturing to the only two cups of coffee, one one the table the other on his hand, knowing that the others won't come because of the storm. "--I took a seat and waited. Then, when I realized that the rain wasn't going to die down any minute, I fought my way to your apartment. Yet another disadvantage of choosing not to refuel your car after a weather broadcast was aired!" He then proceeded sipping on his coffee, symbolizing the end of his sentence. "Fought your way?" She said, quite doubtful really, still looking for the movie they were supposed to watch. "Yeah! I was like a knight in the middle of the storm, fighting my way to your castle."
